For there to be a upgrade path we would need information that's unavailable from Klipsch, I suggest you try to find a used one or Klipsch parts for a replacement.

Pumped a whole can of expanding foam in the cavity. Moth ball smell reminded me of granny's house.

Looks great, run the brace all the way across the cabinet. leave yourself room for woofer access of course.

Peppermint oil and moth balls ( poor little guys ) are on the list, have a new hepa pet vacuum on the way as well.

Resonance is something you don't want. I try to avoid MDF, build it right and there's no issues.

Furring strips work nice, don't go crazy with bracing.
If the old gaskets look reusable use them, same with the foam sheet.

I have used that 15" driver in that Dayton sub I recommended, used that in my first THT as well.

Mice may be a problem here, I have found feces, probably a dozen more holes I don't see. Spend $40 a month on flea, tick, mite preventative for the cats and they still look mangey.

If the install gets done on a slight angle witch could be caused by the wear, mechanics wire trick or both it's inviting leaks without a gasket.

If you have THT lined up already go for it, they get plenty loud.

The cabinet looks too small to make much of a horn from a 18" driver.
If you can get more info or what design it's based from could be of help.

There was a black cat with a broken leg hanging out by my apartment complex, gained his trust with food and kindness over a few weeks and lured him into a box to take him in for help after a few calls on where to take him.
Shelter owner one of her cronies and 2 Chicago police start drilling me about animal abuse, takes the whole day and never found out what happened to the poor animal after all that.
