  1. Either crimp or solder connections are great options as long as its done right.

I avoid the crimp style with the plastic sleeves myself as you crimp more of the plastic sleeve than the connection itself, if it must be insulated i would go with heat shrink tubing over the crimped joint.

  2. Dad at the park. Best i could get out of my Fuji Finepix 400

My first experience with Klipsch was shopping for a new pair of speakers, i spent a good 6 months looking for a pair i could love for years to come. I ended up buying a pair of Chorus II's from a long gone stereo store in Niles Illinois and have been very happy with them ever since.

Powering them at the time was Kenwood's flagship KVR 9020 but soon replaced with Adcom GFA 5500 amp & GTP 350 preamp purchased from Simply Stereo to get more sound out of the Klipsch set, big improvement.

My father heard my Chorus II's and quickly retired his Altec Lansing Valencia's he purchased new in the late 60's.

Since i have owned many sets of Klipsch speakers and have no future plans to replace my current Chorus II's & La Scala's.

  3. Here is a link on your video card compared to other models. PassMark

#1 question is impossible to answer without testing.

#3 You can make the resolution whatever you want up to the monitors maximum rating and resize it however needed when viewing anything on screen.

Lots of better cards out there for the money, check out that link and look around theres lots of good information on there.

  4. .................10-15 Hz at night so not to bother anybody.

    Riiiight. ROTFLMAO!

Raw driver attached to the motorboard for break in, i talc the wood to be sure it clears the surround before install.

Hooked up right in the room where i sleep through the night, can't hear a thing.

  5. They all use the same parts, one manufacturer makes the mainboards for just about all the brands and the rest is nearly the same stuff.

Dell is OK but not worth paying extra for the name.

If you plan on getting a Windows 8 machine be sure to get a touchscreen, its worth the extra $.

  6. Most of these laptop brands are the same, get one that suits your needs and your budget.

Even the most basic laptop will have enough power to get you through your searches.

Frys offers good prices & many options, buy something new if you can, refurbished products can be iffy.
