Dad at the park. Best i could get out of my Fuji Finepix 400
My first experience with Klipsch was shopping for a new pair of speakers, i spent a good 6 months looking for a pair i could love for years to come. I ended up buying a pair of Chorus II's from a long gone stereo store in Niles Illinois and have been very happy with them ever since.
Powering them at the time was Kenwood's flagship KVR 9020 but soon replaced with Adcom GFA 5500 amp & GTP 350 preamp purchased from Simply Stereo to get more sound out of the Klipsch set, big improvement.
My father heard my Chorus II's and quickly retired his Altec Lansing Valencia's he purchased new in the late 60's.
Since i have owned many sets of Klipsch speakers and have no future plans to replace my current Chorus II's & La Scala's.

Here is a link on your video card compared to other models. PassMark
#1 question is impossible to answer without testing.
#2 Answered in post #3
#3 You can make the resolution whatever you want up to the monitors maximum rating and resize it however needed when viewing anything on screen.
Lots of better cards out there for the money, check out that link and look around theres lots of good information on there.

Long time no see, glad to hear things are looking up.
Hope you're staying around a bit longer.

These would be great for the shop.
Nice find.

.................10-15 Hz at night so not to bother anybody.
Riiiight. ROTFLMAO!
Raw driver attached to the motorboard for break in, i talc the wood to be sure it clears the surround before install.
Hooked up right in the room where i sleep through the night, can't hear a thing.

Put a filter on the intake to keep dust down to a minimum.

A widescreen monitor will have more pixels than a standard version but if you're not doing anything graphic intensive theres really nothing to worry about either way.
-
For document reading & the like you can go with a bigger screen with no worries.
-
Maybe i should be more clear with my answer, you should be able to run 2 monitors at that resolution with one card but it will slow things up considerately.
16 Cuda cores is not much power to work with.
-
Its rated for the card and not multiple screens.
As long as you wont be gaming or doing anything graphic intensive you will be ok.
What size monitors were you looking at ?

They all use the same parts, one manufacturer makes the mainboards for just about all the brands and the rest is nearly the same stuff.
Dell is OK but not worth paying extra for the name.
If you plan on getting a Windows 8 machine be sure to get a touchscreen, its worth the extra $.

Most of these laptop brands are the same, get one that suits your needs and your budget.
Even the most basic laptop will have enough power to get you through your searches.
Frys offers good prices & many options, buy something new if you can, refurbished products can be iffy.

Thank you, will give it my best.

Had plans to go myself but the flu bug got ahold of me and don't feel good enough unfortunately, kinda bummed out.

Cant go wrong with a nice set of Belle's.

Why not just leave the TV on, with the exception of plasma models they use very little electricity.

Looks like Walnut with a natural finish.

I saw a reference to the BFM Tuba. Will the Eminence Kappa 15C be good for a Tuba HT as well?
No, the Kappa 15C is way out of spec for the design.

I'm guilty of mostly 2 channel listening myself, tried multichannel setup with Chorus II's many years ago and was not impressed nor have i heard anything else to get me to switch over again.

Orange peel can be wet sanded out, just be extra careful not to sand through on the edges.
Start with 320 grit for stock removal and work your way through with finer sandpaper until you have a glasslike finish.

I can't believe how this woofer smooths out the frequency response in the La Scala.
The Table Tuba or Tuba 60 would also make for a great accompany with this woofer mod.

Solder or screw?

Either crimp or solder connections are great options as long as its done right.
I avoid the crimp style with the plastic sleeves myself as you crimp more of the plastic sleeve than the connection itself, if it must be insulated i would go with heat shrink tubing over the crimped joint.
