I havent been to Starbigbucks in a long time, last time i was in there i spent $16 on 2 of their fancy coffiees.
Better at home anyways, hot coffee in the winter & iced in the summer.
Like Burger king's slogan, have it your way.
If you brew at home, and like iced coffee, try freezing cubes of leftover brew. Keeps your iced coffee cold, without diluting the flavor.
Great idea, i will try that.

Looks interesting, i might just try some of this shit.
New flavors are always worth trying if you cook at home.

Check around for a used NAD 1600 or 1700 series preamp/tuner, they should be available for $200 or less and are worth every penny.

I don't listen to pipe organ music but i do listen to reggae and some rap on occasion, a sub is a must have for these styles of music.
Mostly i listen to rock music and there is more content than you would think on recordings.
Like was mentioned many times before you won't miss it if you never hear it but once you do its hard to go without.
I listen to 2 channel only in my home.

Regarding the bass on the Jubilees, Yes I have measured the freq respsonse on the bass bins. As you know, there is some technical and logistical difficulty in doing so. They measure fine when placed in a corner. For the very low bass, the recommended PEQ does help.
Please keep in mind that my application is for music and not home theater. At those lowest ocatves, there is actually not much energy in the recordings, What is produced is more of a vibratory experience as opposed to an "auditory" experience. Not much to do with music ....
In my experience, when a sub is added they are usually not integrated very well and the sound quality is not up to snuff. That is a typical result and perhaps simply indicates the difficulty in finding a good sub and setting it up correctly.
As I said before, at my house, no sub is needed. Maybe some day I'll take up the challenge (although I suspect the benefit will be limited), but quite frankly there are other things I would rather deal with than the energy between 20 to 35 Hz.
I have a unfinished 16" LS Table Tuba with a high output 8" driver that i would be happy to lend out to you for some testing if you like. Its not going to be the ideal match to your mains but it will be fine for low to medium listening levels and give you the opportunity to audition a proper horn to match your mains.
Find a shipper within reasonable distance from me and i will be happy to drop it off.
E-mail me if interested. jasonstr1969@yahoo.com

Use a Y splitter for your 2 systems. One to your source then use the Y to split the input between the two speaker systems.

Leaving a long strand of wire inside the cabinet can result in a rattle.
-
Hook up your wires in series for your 8 Ohm load.
Soldering your ends will be best but you can use crimps to wire if you have to.

Jubilee is a great sounding speaker but if you are not running a proper sub to compliment your mains you really are missing out.

K-33's in a Chorus II ?

Great integrated amp for the price, you snooze you lose.
Heard this unit with many pairs of Klipsch reference products years back. Very nice sound and looks good to boot.

Walking over to the tool box and forget what what you were going to grab.
-
So you going to be running 3 subs then or just rolling with the RSW 15 ?
I figured the 10's would not have the output of the 15 but figured maybe the extra passives would add a bit of oomph to the mix.

The LaScala mod with the foam looks like a good option. Maybe a pair of THT's to fill in below the bass dip shown in the chart.
The THT response runs flat above 45 Hz (24" version) and can be crossed over higher than 80 Hz without sounding muddy, in fact i ran mine up to 180 Hz with good results just for some testing. Build it wider and its basically flat to 25 Hz.
I assume this chart is for the K-33 ?

Whats funny is people will buy it and say it makes my system sound smoother or it adds ambiance to the midrange.

While on the subject of Frank Zappa anybody remember this freedom of speech attack from 1986. Link

If the motorboard is 3/4" you should be OK with wood screws.
I use T-nuts on everything myself but understand its probably overkill.

Busy day today, got home, ate dinner, headed to my daughter's basketball game. Wife stayed home because she's sick and went to bed a 8:15pm. I guess there will be no testing tonight.
I'll have a little bit of time before work tomorrow to briefly check them out.
We can wait, hope your wife gets better soon.

For instance, put a 411 geared 340 Dodge Dart against a 323 geared 383 big block Dart, who do you think will win the 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile for that matter.
The taller gear will give much better performance off the line because of torque multiplication, its that simple.
If they were geared the same the bigger higher horsepower engine always wins.

I just sold a custom Street Glide. Before that I had two fatboys and two sportsters. The 883 will be very underpowered for you.
As for the earlier comment about the 883 being as fast as the 1200, that is ridiculous.
Shakey
The 883 will keep up with the 1200 til about 75-80 MPH. The motor has less power but its geared higher.
Its all in the gearing.
Look around on the Harley forum if theres any doubt about my claim.
