  1. If the motorboard is 3/4" you should be OK with wood screws. I use T-nuts on everything myself but understand its probably overkill.
  2. We can wait, hope your wife gets better soon. Let us know how it goes with the power supply issue.
  3. If there is a place to leave feedback just tell it how it is. Honesty is the best policy.
  4. Great lookin ride and dam sure easier to polish than my dog, three hours polishing for a one day ride. I swear to god my dog cleans the road as I ride, static I bet. Nice Softtail, my neighbors wife had one just like it in black. One of my favorites.
  5. I have ridden both as well, here are some links to ponder over. http://www.hdforums.com/forum/sportster-models/453899-sportster-883-vs-1200-a-2.html http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showthread.php?t=21513 For instance, put a 411 geared 340 Dodge Dart against a 323 geared 383 big block Dart, who do you think will win the 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile for that matter. The taller gear will give much better performance off the line because of torque multiplication, its that simple. If they were geared the same the bigger higher horsepower engine always wins.
  6. The 883 will keep up with the 1200 til about 75-80 MPH. The motor has less power but its geared higher. Its all in the gearing. Look around on the Harley forum if theres any doubt about my claim.
  7. I believe this applies to everything mechanical, If someone takes the time to do it right it will last and be dependable, If someone is a hack good luck ever using it again I have unfortunately followed both Absolutely, couldn't agree more. I spent every weekend at Great lakes dragway racing whatever i was working on (mostly Olds & Mopar) and if my cars were apart there was always Mom or Dad's car. Worked great until dad found some time slips in the glovebox, woopsie.
  8. Just off the top of my head. The Band - Up on cripple creek Stray cats - Stray cat strut. Queen -Dragon attack These should give a little kick but not the lowest of lows. I love the bass guitar on horns, and everything else of course.
  9. Dirt bikes are a blast, i rode every available hour when i was a kid. Once they expanded the O'hare parking lot across Mannheim Rd my riding spot was gone, its now just a paved parking lot.
  10. The 883 is a great starter bike, its just as fast as the 1200 sporty. The gearing is somewhat higher to make up for the lower horsepower & torque difference. The bikes are dependable until you start tinkering with upgrades & such, then it depends on whats installed and done correctly or not.
  11. I removed my mid assy, bag & taped over the driver so not to muck it up and sprayed a can of quiet coat over the outside of each horn, it did make a difference. Quietcoat
  12. Hardwire is really the way to go if its possible. Anything wireless is susceptible to interference.

    2 ch Sub

To compete with your Cornwall's at higher volumes you're going to need at least one high output 15". A horn sub would be a good alternative to compliment your mains.
  14. If your amp & wireless project are one together you could get something like this. Link
  15. If you're good with tools & woodworking plan on at least a week probably more. Not a beginners project but doable if you take your time, its worth it.
  16. Anything played on an elevator. Almost wants to make me take the stairs.
  17. The wider you build it the flatter your response will be. The smaller the room the more room gain it will have. No 2 rooms are the same so your results will vary. Your average room will result in 12dB gain per octave below 30Hz but like i said all rooms can vary & driver position will make a difference also. The best looking position for your cabinet is not always best spot but like everything else in life there has to be compromises.
  18. The cabinet is tuned to 22Hz if i recall correctly. Check on Bills websight if you need more information on the subject. Link
  19. Lately i have been listening to: Godsmack Jack Johnson Neil Young No favorites though, too many bands out there to choose just one.
  20. Around $400 depending on cabinet size & driver compliment it can be more or less. Response is dependant on the room & position in the room.
  21. Keep the LaScala's and add a horn sub. LaScala has a nicer sounding midbass and adding a horn loaded sub to your current speakers will give you the best of both worlds + the ability to play lower frequencies than the K-horn ever dreamed of. The sound really is seamless.
  22. The woofer is where you really need the horn. Highs and mids benefit from horns too but most just don't have the room or cant afford a big horn, its just a compromise really.
  23. I havent been to Starbigbucks in a long time, last time i was in there i spent $16 on 2 of their fancy coffiees. Better at home anyways, hot coffee in the winter & iced in the summer. Like Burger king's slogan, have it your way.
