  1. When will the manufactures start producing Audyssey products for us 2 channel guys ? I'm never going to have a multichannel system for serious listening. Anybody here with me on this ?
  2. No i have not built one yet but i was thinking of maybe having it on sale next month. Lots of bracing inside & multiple corner ports that act as braces too, well thought out design. Yes the Simplexx line is new, lots of cabinet & driver combo/options.
  3. Probably have not pushed my stuff much over 100dB in a long time. Once the windows start flexing i start to wonder what its doing to my eardrums, im sure i don't need anymore hearing loss than i have already.
  4. Labeled "Home Theater" on the chart. I see now. LOL, just woke up. Looks like -1 1/2 dB @ 25 Hz, not too shabby.
  5. I think I'd want something that dug a little deeper for HT. What's the + - at 20Hz? Who said anything about home theater ? Anyways here is the chart, 2nd from the bottom.
  6. If you're looking for a easy to build sub check out the Simplexx 15 home theater sub from Bill Fitzmaurice, i have the plans here and its pretty simple in design and ruler flat to 30Hz, it uses the Dayton 15" RSS390HO-4 driver and would pair nicely with the Yung 500 watt plate amp on sale for $150 but sale ends soon.
  7. Most belt driven models will be a better choice, they seem to last longer + you can replace the motor easy if it goes out. The important thing is that you drain the water from the tank often, check the oil level & install a drier in line to protect your air tools from moisture, don't forget to oil your air tools before each use for longevity.
  8. NAD gear sounds wonderful with Heritage and Reference, IMO. I may be a little biased because I own a NAD pre/pro, HT receiver, and a CD player, but I am totally pleased with the sound quality. Bill Good to hear, i have a NAD preamp & love the sound. My friend has one of their receivers and some Klipsch reference towers (i forgot what model they are, RF-62's maybe) and pairs nicely. No doubt they make good stuff.
  9. Just realized this was the home theater section, not very often you hear Belle in this area. Outlaw does not make a surround sound receiver. Never heard the NAD surround sound receivers either but are probably great nevertheless My apologies.
  10. NAD & Outlaw receivers would be a decent choice to power your Belle's if it must be a receiver.
  11. The Cornwall 3 is a great sounding all around speaker, i would buy them in a heartbeat. I think the Cornscala sounds somewhat a little bright for my tastes but still sounded good. Never heard them next to each other to A/B them with the same amp/room combo so take my findings with a grain of salt.
  12. I was thinking more in the line of turbulence in the horn path from the driver assy. not actual output.
  13. I just looked over the Orthon build, it looks pretty well designed compared to some others. Braces are well placed on the cabinet but the motorboard may be the weak point. Still i don't get how blocking much of the horn path with a massive driver does the design any good.
  14. I get crap like that in my spam folder like once a week, makes you wonder how many people are stupid enough to spend money or give out personal information to these jerkoff's.
  15. I guess you could come to that conclusion.
  16. So you have A/B'd all these different subwoofers and came to the conclusion that the Orothon is best in your opinion ?
  17. The shipping upcharge is listed right above the price of the kit. Dayton Ultimax subwoofer kit
  18. Is this not the reason most buy new products, to get a worry free warranty ? No warranty = FAIL
  19. Lots of great information on Bill's websight. I would not have gone in business building his cabinets if i did not believe they were the best designs out there for any price.
  20. The lilwrecker can use some low cost $120 or so drivers. Alpine SWS-15D2 and D4 have been well tested. That seems much more reasonable. I bought many Alpine head units for car audio in the past with good results, never used any of their drivers though.

    Woofers

    Add a subwoofer.
  22. The recommended drivers for that Othorn sub are priced out of this world, you could buy 4 Eminence Lab 12 drivers for the same price as the cheapest recommended driver for that sub.
  23. Good advice. Its easy to get overwhelmed by debt purchases.
