  1. OK, I was sitting around thinking how I needed some wallpaper to satisify my Klipsch addiction. So... I took a poster, scanned it and wa-lah! I've uploaded it here for anyone that might be interested. It's 1024 x 768 and in jpg format. You'll have to convert it to a bitmap and resize to fit your desktop. It's not the greatest scan, but the price is right. Tony
  2. speedbump: Go for the Academy! Look at it this way: If you didn't like the Academy, (yeah... right) you could sell it and buy another KLF-C7 and have money left over. I came across an Academy, now it's out of circulation (permanently). Tony This message has been edited by Tony Reed on 07-21-2001 at 07:44 AM
  3. Good things come to those that wait... and wait... and wait... Tony
  4. Only the lower horn has to be "covered", but it might look better to go all the way up to the top of the cabinet. Tony
  5. Keeping the Heritage line is a big "positive". I'd call the soon-to-be-released Jubilee a "positive". How about this BB? They keep it going when they really don't have to. It's all in how you look at it. Enjoy the music, Tony
  6. I'm gonna have to go away and think about this thread for a while! Tony
  7. I much prefer the sound of my Chorus II's, Forte II's, and even my Quartets over my KLF 30's. They just seem to be more "musical". Can't really explain it. Just my opinion. Tony
  8. My vintage shirt says: (front) Klipsch A Legend In Sound (back) Meet Me Where There's Music PWK Logo. Hang on to that shirt, you'll find almost nothing with the PWK logo anymore. BTW, I've been to the factory about a dozen times or so in the past year. No shirts, coffee mugs, caps... well you get the idea. Once upon a time, they had all that stuff for the employees and "walk ins". They are waiting on a shipment that never seems to come. Seems even the factory is having trouble getting these items. Tony
  9. Don't have any plans or experience with the false corners, but they must be pretty effective. PWK uses them in his house with his Klipschorns. Tony
  10. One minor correction. The CF series didn't replace Heritage, they were an augment to the Klipsch line. Heritage speakers are still in the current lineup, and we're told they will remain there. Tony
  11. My guess would be that the K55V's should not be used as a replacement for the K53K's. Completely different beast. The E-2 crossover is designed for the current drivers. Some say the plastic horns are better, less ringing. Others can't hear a difference. The parts list has been temporarily removed. We're told it will be back. Tony
  12. No recommendations about the drivers. Tony This message has been edited by Tony Reed on 06-08-2001 at 05:39 PM
  13. Yes, the bottom "door" does come off. Mine are held in place by many-a-screw. Tony
  14. They corrected the spelling. Here's the new link. http://www.homecinemachoi ce.com/testbench/frame.html?http://www.homecinemachoice.com/testbench/SpeakerPackages/Klipsch/KlipschRF-3RC-3RS-3KSW12.shtml Tony
  15. As a matter of fact, I'm going to the factory on Monday to get a pair of AL-3 crossover networks. I'll probably stop and see Mr Paul & Miss Valerie. The nicest people you would ever want to meet! Tony
  16. Even a "ballpark" date would give us a glimer of hope. Tony
  17. Adventures in Surround Sound, from 7.2 to Quad. (personal and historical notes, basics, and acoustic realities often forgotten) Check out this link, interesting. http://www.wendycarlos.com/surround/surround.html#top Tony
  18. Well.... I guess the cat's outta the bag. I thought everyone knew! Leave it to me... Tony
  19. Actually, you could use another Jubilee for the center, as they don't require corner placement. Of course, this is overkill. But hey, that's what we're all about here, isn't it? Tony
  20. Getting back to the original topic... The Heritage models are still listed on this website under "Home Audio". I wonder if they'll be on the new website... hmmmmmmmm. They better be! Tony
  21. I'm told that Klipsch now has a supplier for the mid drivers. Not sure if they're shipping yet. Tony
  22. I'll post a picture from the party soon. Stay tuned! Tony
  23. This "get together" was actually a combination of PWK's birthday (97) and The Klipsch's anniversary. (25 years) These folks are really great, they treat you like part of the family. Tony
