  1. Roger, I will PM you with the answers to your questions as I've already posted all the details here and this thread is long enough Really, I just wanted to get the products I paid for or a refund. Up till now, this forum has been the only way to reliably contact Kevin since shortly after my payment went through (even though I got same day replies to all my emails before placing the order). Thanks for all the support from everyone.
  2. WTF Roger! Yeah well I'd love to take this on a one to one with 'stand up' Kev, but since he has not replied to 12 emails, 4 PM's and 3 phone calls, what do you suggest? He only seems interested in displaying some sembance of integrity when I put this out in public. No I didn't get a good saving, as I've said several times, dealing with Kevin cost me several thousand dollars extra in the end, plus a heap of hassle. Good for you that you trust Kevin 99.999999%, he may even be your beer buddy, but to me, he is someone who cost me a few grand and a lot of headache, and who continues to fail to deliver on promises. Well in the end I did buy crappy stands locally. But just because I bought a Klipsch system doesn't mean I'm so flush I can afford to kiss off money I spent in good faith on products which are still under promise of delivery. I'm frankly a bit surprised you'd suggest it. Perhaps your pockets are deeper than mine. I'll drop it when the guy actually does what he says he will, but out of respect for you and the rest of the forum members who have been extremely helpful, I'll assume you speak for everyone and won't post again on this issue. Sorry for boring you all with my adolescent whining Best. R
  3. Kevin, I sent you an email to the deadmold address last week but have not heard back. Can you please confirm you got my email and finish this drama already!
  4. Can you believe it was Stuart Little!!!! I have an 18 month old, and it was just close to his bed time when the setup completed. I did watch a THX/DTS/Dolby Digital demo DVD also, which blew me away Gladiator is usually my 'test out the new TV' movie, so will no doubt be watching that later, and Master and Commander for a good sub experience
  5. Kevin at last some communication. If you put the mounts on the first shipment, why is there NO paperwork to confirm this. It is very strange that the paperwork I received with the shipment details all the products but no omni-mounts. It is not like they were lost from the shipment, they were never included in the shipment. What about a tracking number for the SECOND shipment, you didn't send me anything? You can answer the question about your integrity on this one by posting the tracking number here right now. Yes shipping to SLOVENIA is awkward, as I informed you, but DHL do not simply lose products or recreate paperwork removing one item just because it is Slovenia. This is an EU country, not Nigeria! Presumably, if you put a product 'on the truck' personally, then you will have some kind of paperwork to prove that? I sent you at least 8 emails to your business email via your website, and also as replies to your mail to me, and also PM'd you here on the forum twice, and left 3 messages on your business answering service telephone. How can you say you did not hear from me? Very strange. Yes, please issue me a refund for the mounts. I believe I paid you $95 plus an amount for shipping which you added to the original shipping quote ( I can dig out the emails if you don't have the details). Incidentally, the shipping you quoted was for door to door, yet DHL said the shipment was only paid up to the airport, so I had to pay $100+ extra to have the goods forwarded to my home. Email me with an email address that actually will get to you and I'll send you a paypal address which will be the easiest way to send the refund. As for the Crown, you only suggested EQ with it AFTER: I had bought the damn thing - tried to connect it to my Sub without luck - posted on the forum for help (your response to my initial email for help took more than a week) - was told by another forum member that the crown could damage my sub without protection - forwarded this forum response to you for comment! All in all, the Crown experience cost me over $800 and a month of lost time - complete waste. I can understand that you became super busy and how easy it is to lose focus when that happens. I did find you a fair and pleasant person to deal with, just much slower than promised (promised 10 days but took 40 days) and terrible communication once the order had been placed and paid for. It was the lack of communication that was most frustrating and caused me to doubt you.
  6. OK, I hung the speakers and ran the setup program on the Onkyo. Wow, what a difference! Here's a quick pic, 90% finished.
  7. Finished my screen build yesterday (SeymourAV Soundstage fabric). Going to run the Audyssey setup today and then settle down for our first viewing Even in the untuned state, the system sounds super, so I'm looking forward to the final result.
  8. Common knowlege? Well maybe for you, but that doesn't make it common! Perhaps you are a dealer yourself or in the trade, so you see something as obvious that others are unaware of. Personally I use the internet including ebay to buy stuff from all over the world and that's the first time I heard it referred to as grey market. I've certainly never experienced a seller 'fess up to it, so again, my response, how is an average joe consumer supposed to know that. I think you assume too much. I already bought the KA1000 to go with the sub, from the 'legit' dealer in Germany, so I have no need to struggle to adapt the system to fit the K1, I just dumped it in the garage and wrote it off as a bad experience. If I ever meet some young band needing a bit of road gear, i'll donate it I bought a couple of TV monitor wall mounts from the local electronics store that fit the KL's nicely, so I'm all but done Thanks again for all the responses. I've found the forum hear extremely helpful and informative. Best to all. R
  9. Thanks for the responses. I always give people the benefit of the doubt, often too many times. However, in retrospect, I am now convinced Kevin deliberately lied to me about the first shipping of the mounts to buy time for himself to order them 'a second time'. Then something has gone awry and I do not believe he has followed through, and just kept my money, probably justifying this by a surprise increase in shipping charges he incurred by not verifying rates properly in the first place. Amy from Klipsch has now been in touch again and have said they have terminated their relationship with Kevin, so at least no-one else has to experience the same, although he is still promoting Klipsch products on his website, so maybe some policing is needed?! In my case, at least I got the speakers, but I am left without mounts that I paid for and also a 'useless' K1 amp that Kevin recommended I buy to drive the THX sub, rather than use the KA Amp. Yes, more fool me for being naieve enough to believe a registered Klipsch dealer's advice about Klipsch products!! Regarding going through my local dealership - well that's easy to say when you live in the US and there's a Klipsch dealer 'on every street corner'. When you live in a country that is not represented internally and buying from the closest (Italy) increases the price by more than 100%, then it's not so obvious. I did eventually find a great dealer in Germany, but lost communications just at the point of placing an order (German business often take a 2-3 week holiday in the summer, which I was not aware of and just thought the dealership had gone out of business). This is when Kevin's email arrived via the forum. He was very persistent, and answered all questions immediately, and offered a good price, even with shipping, duties, and taxes that rivalled the German quote. I had no idea that dealers are not allowed to trans-ship. How do you expect me to have known that? Dealers certainly do not tell you this, nor do they tell you how they price the products. There is clearly no standard prices enforced by Klipsch, as every dealer I spoke to quoted a different price. Suggesting that a manufacturer is not responsible for its sales representatives is not so much callous Michael as rather bizarre! Best Roger
  10. I'm bumping the thread as I still have not got any resolution to this after more than 3 months now. I emailed Amy at Klipsch who replied saying someone would be in touch. 2 weeks later and still nothing, even though I emailed Amy a reminder last week. I would really like to register a dealer complaint against Kevin Enderle aka The Soundbroker with Klipsch, as well as get some flippin speaker mounts! Klipsch may have some great gear, but it seems those involved in selling the stuff and servicing the customers afterwards have a bit of a problem with communication. Sure leaves a bitter taste after having spent $10k+ on their products :-( Thank god for the forum at least!
  11. Thanks, I will email Amy and ask her if there is anyone in my region that can send the brackets. I was hoping by posting here that Kevin would respond, but it looks like he's been AWOL for about a month from the forums and his business email and phone. I'm impatient but usually pretty tolerant to delays, as long as communication is good. However, 3 months delay and no comms for 5 weeks is well beyond my limits! I think I'll register an official complaint with Klipsch too, as it does not do the brand any good to have dealers flaking out like this. Anyone know how I can do that? R
  12. Hi All I bought a THX Ultra 2 system from a Klipsch dealer who freqents these forums two and a half months ago. After a bit of a drama getting delivery, the stuff did arrive but short the omni mount brackets I ordered. Kev's communications are sporadic at best, but last I heard he had re-ordered them for re-shipping on the 5th September. I've since sent a bunch of emails and left messages on his service, but he is not responding. The mounts were not that much (~100 bucks) but I'm in Europe and my local HiFi suppliers don't have the omni mount brand, otherwise I'd buy them locally. My HT is all ready to go, save for the L and R 650's sitting on top of cardboard boxes - not pretty!! From a previous thread, I think Kev has a few friends on the board, so if anyone knows any way to get in touch with Kevin outside of his normal business contacts which he is not responding to, please drop him a line for me and tell him I would very much like either some news on the imminent arrival of the mounts, or a refund. I think 10 weeks is long enough to wait!! Thanks
  13. ha ha, I did EXACTLY that with the center speaker! What a newb! Although I had the horn at the bottom.
  14. Thanks, yep I did go with a more spread out plan. I got the speakers 'upside down' though, so will flip em
  15. Hi again. I have 2 questions. 1. Is it better to have all 3 mains behind the screen? I have a small room (13ft square), and my choices are either L and R at screen side, but close to side walls, toed in ... or wider screen with all 3 mains placed in the wall behind. Screen material will A.T. be coming from Chris at Seymour. 2. The KL 650's have a couple of woofers on the right and a horn on the left as they arrived in the boxes (judging by position of Klipsh logo on grilles). Is it better to turn them 90 degrees so the horns are at top (or bottom), to get a more 'balanced' left to right layout? (i.e 'portrait' rather than 'landscape') Any ideas to optimum distance between L and R would be great. I am putting the speakers in the walls, so I need to get it right the first time as I'll be breaking holes in my exterior clay block walls and wouldn't want to have to do it twice! thanks
