Heritage owners love their speakers because they designed just like Concert P.A. speakers - huge bass drivers matched with effecient horn drivers.... In other words, they love Hertiage speakers not because they image well (because they don't), but because they deliver that "Rock Concert"-like performance and can do so with modest power... Reference 7-series owners like me, have "put our rock&roll days" aside, and now prefer speakers with much more finesse in delivering a "more to pure live" experience... I'm sorry, but when you go to a Rock Concert, you're not listening to "live" music, you're hearing the house P.A. system and guess what? Some of them may be even using Klipsch (or JBL) speakers. So it's no wonder why Hertiage lovers prefer that experience... However, if you want to recreate a Jazz ensemble in front of you, or listen to studio recordings the way they were meant - with proper imaging and soundstage - then the RF7's are unmatched in the entire Klipsch line-up... I've owned and heard lots of Klipsch's products, and that is IMO....

Okay guys, let's hear it.... I'm a Comcast Cable customer, but have been considering switching to a Dish.. Any thoughts on which service is truly better? Which one delivers better picture quality? etc..etc...

I am glad to hear a 2 channel aficionado {edit: Oops I thought this was a 2 channel post} feel they stack up to the Klipschorn for stereo. ---------------- I never claimed to be a "2-channel guy" as I do own a 5.1 setup which conists of 2 RF7s, 1 RC7, 2 RS7s and one RSW-15.... However, I will but up the RF7s in 2-channel audio listening against any other Klipsch-made speaker... The transperency, linearity, sonic clarity, imaging and soundstage is far superior to any other Klipsch product... The mids are far warmer than anything a horn mid can make.... IMO..

Geez! You are NOT supposed to say that to a Heritage owner. We all know the Heritage system is for old guys who can't hear. BUT, we NEVER, EVER tell them that. Those who can still hear buy the RF-7 and enjoy them. Please don't tell any Heritage owners that the speakers they have are second best to the RF-7s, they may have heart palpations, get short of breath, and maybe even blow a gasket. Be nice, not smug, in knowing you own better speakers. Tell them, "Gee those Khorn Cornball, er, uh, I mean Cornwall LaBelles sound pretty good". My dealer let me hold on to the 12 until the 15 came in. when it did it just didnt sound/shake the house as much as the twelve. And now probly 150hrs in, it sounds awesome. As long as it keeps pounding this will be the last sub I ever have to buy. good luck its worth it, see if you can find out what is wrong with it and post it for us other rsw owners.---------------- I have a feeling it's in the amp - as the status LED shows the Pre-Amp is coming on/off just fine.... I suppose it could be a failed driver too, but I have no way of diagnosing that and it's highly unlikely that the Amp inside could fry that driver...

They sound much more like a P.A. speaker than anything... This post is to simply point out that - IMO - the RF7's have a much more refined sound quality than anything else Klipsch has made so far..
