  1. My bad, I should of said "Tape Loop", thanks Mark. Here is a link to connecting the EQ-------> CLICK HERE Dennie
  2. You might want to ask this in the "Technical" section. [] Dennie
  3. Well, I downloaded the manual and you're in luck. You have "pre-outs" so... Yes, you can add an EQ! [<)] Which one are you looking at adding? Dennie
  4. Welcome to the Klipsch Forums Chaboofasnir, we're glad you're here. Great news on the upgrade and isn't it amazing what a better receiver will do! [] I'm glad you're enjoying your gear, Dennie
  5. Beautiful! Congratulations.... Dennie
  6. You would probably be better off asking this in the "HT" section. But, it really depends on your needs and most of all, budget. If you are combining an HT and 2 channel set up, you need to have "pre-outs" for at least the front 2 channels. Many folks like Marantz and H/K and Yamaha with Klipsch. I use a Pioneer Elite AVR with a Adcom GFA 555 (2 channel) for my mains and a Adcom GFA 7607 (7 channel) for the HT. I don't use any of the amps in the Pioneer, just the processing. Look around at AVR's and find the one that has features you need, make sure it has "pre-outs", in your price range. You can add a 2 channel amp at a later date. "Craigslist" can be good for used gear at good prices. Dennie
  7. Hey Jeffery welcome, we're glad you're here! [<)] I SAID... WELCOME! WE'RE GLAD YOU ARE HERE!!! ("Like-it-loud", get it?) .... Anyway.... I looked around and I don't think the "Yami" has "Pre-outs" so that you could add a separate amp for the front speakers. So, I would look for a AVR that has pre-outs, so you can (also) get a decent 2 channel amp and get some power behind those KG4's! But, I think you'd have to increase your budget a little. The AVR that you have is a "budget priced" unit and it's just not going to give you what you want for music, as you are finding out. Again, nice to have you on board, don't hesitate to ask questions. We're a pretty friendly bunch. Dennie...
  8. Congratulations Scrappy! [<)] Keep us posted and let us know what you think of the new gear when it arrives! You said: Ahhhh, I think that is the perfect time to LISTEN to them!!! LOL Dennie
  9. It was easier to get up and change it when I was younger, much younger. [:$] Heck, I was my Dad's first "remote control"! I remember it like it was yesterday.... "Dennie! Get up and change the channel, put it on channel 3 and turn it up a little, while your there." And I did! Yeap, the good old days! Now, I have a remote! Dennie
  10. A few members here own one, maybe start a new tread asking their opinions? Keep us posted on your progress, Dennie
  11. Oh Man, great story! [Y] Congratulations on the new (to you) receiver. [<)] Keep us posted, Dennie
  12. I too cut the "cable" a number of years ago and haven't been happier. Obviously I listen to lot of music (Right This Minute Thread!) but I still like to watch some TV, so I have OTA, but the commercials kill me. I also have an Amazon.com Prime account and I got that for the "Free 2 Day Shipping" on most items, especially music. But, one day they sent me an email telling me that the "Roku 2 XS" is on sale. Heck, I had no idea what that even is. It is an internet streaming device and with my "Prime" membership I have access to thousands of TV shows and movies included for free. So, the Roku was on sale for $69.99 with free shipping, so I decided to get one. I love it! Now, my "Prime" membership is $79.00 a year and that is what I spend on TV watching. They have many, many older and some newer TV shows and movies. Lots of entertainment for a very low price and the best thing.... No Commercials!! Well, the best thing is no monthly bill! [Y] Here is the link to the ROKU 2 XS -----> CLICK HERE There are a few different models, so see which one is right for you. [] Here is a link to Amazon's Prime Membership ------> CLICK HERE I just thought I would share this, in case someone (like me) doesn't know about it. Dennie
  13. I absolutely need a remote control, period! LOL Hey, I'm lazy and I can't move my gear rack or chair, so I got a nice remote. [<)] I've never used the gear you mentioned, but get something that covers all your needs, or you're going to want to upgrade. Have you looked at this.... Outlaw Audio RR2150 for $699 (+) ----> CLICK HERE I've heard good things about it and it has the "features" you need, all of them..... •State-of-the-art stereo receiver inspired by the art deco table radios of the past •High performance FM Stereo/FM/AM tuner •Multiple inputs with separate record output bus •USB input for playback of streaming audio output from compatible computers •High quality phono input for both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges •Processor/equalizer loop •The only stereo receiver with a subwoofer output that includes selectable, analog bass management •Front panel "speaker equalization" selector adds a half-octave of bass boost at a choice of frequencies to improve performance with compact bookshelf speakers •Headphone jack with level control •Front panel stereo mini-jack input for easy connection to portable devices such as iPod® •Tone control defeat •Precision, motorized volume control •A/B Speaker Output •Pre-Out/Main-In connections •IR In/Out jacks •Removable IEC style power cord •Multi-device, programmable remote control .... Just a thought, Dennie
  14. The only experience I have with "Art" is a little phono pre amp I purchased a few years back and it is a solid unit. I've not had one problem with it. I connected it when I got it and haven't gave it another thought since. As far as EQ's go, yeah, get one. They can be a lot of fun (and frustration) and can help with room correction problems. The best way to use one is not by ear, but with a RTA (Real Time Analyzer) and used to cut offending freqs. from your room. When you use one to boost freqs., you start changing the sound and that is not always good. I use an Audio Control C101 III with built in RTA and Spectrum Analyzer and it has made a great improvement to my listening enjoyment. Keep us posted, Dennie
  15. Hey, You're welcome! But I think that's the "other" Denny.... Dennie []
  16. Oh.... You Suck Big Time!!! [] Wow, is all I've got. Congratulations, that is one SWEET set up!!! [] Dennie
  17. Oops! [:$] Happy Belated Birthday Amy!!! [<)] Dennie...... [G]

  19. What's your room like? Do you have pictures on the walls? Carpet on the floors? Lot's of furniture in the room? Your room will have the biggest influence on how the speakers sound and speaker placement will make all the difference. Are they up against the walls? How far are they from the side walls? Are there side walls? Etc...! BTW Congratulations on the new RF7-II's and welcome to the Family! [<)] Dennie
  20. Do you have them yet...... Don't have them yet. Craig is funny about that... he probably wants me to finish paying him first! I'll be taking care of that ASAP. Yeah, he's funny that way!! .... ! Congratulations Man, you are in for a real treat. Keep us posted, Dennie
  21. Do you have them yet...... [] They are Beautiful! Dennie
  22. Ahhh, it's always refreshing to see someone with their priorities straight! Dennie PS I've PM'd you my address, in case you can't keep the speakers!! []
  23. Welcome to the Klipsch Family Aguaazul, we're glad you're here! [<)] I don't think it matters what type of amp you're using, it just takes the Lower Freq. Info and passes the rest on to the speakers. I think you'll be okay. Remember PLACEMENT and your ROOM have more to do with it than the amp. How do you have the speakers set up? Small room? Big Room? Are they against a wall? Do you have any room treatments? Lots of furniture? Etc... Dennie
  24. Beautiful! [<)] Nuff Said! Congratulations and thanks for the Beautiful pictures! [Y] Dennie
