  1. Would that they still made those... I do not think so. But ebay can be your friend. [] CLICK HERE These things originally sold for $1000! Dennie []
  2. +1 for CF! A larger midrange horn with a crossover frequency of 500 Hz. would have made the Cornwall 3 an AWESOME speaker. In any case, I'm back to the idea of letting my Cornwall 3s go. For their size, and for their price, they just don't do what I want them to. I could go off the deep end with mods, but why bother? The resale value stays highest if they're stock. That sounds like a good idea. It's one of the reasons Klipsch makes more than one speaker! [] I use an AudioControl C101-III full octive EQ with a built in RTA. It works magic in my room! ......... 3. RUN!!! Don't walk! .................... I don't know about the different years, but those look great. If they were on my CL for $2250, I'd be on my way to see them! Keep us posted, Dennie
  4. Wow! You've done good! They are beautiful! You are absolutely correct, you can not get the same "Scale" of music out of small(er) speakers. Congratulations and enjoy the music! [<)] Dennie
  5. Yeap! I completely don't get that! But I understand that some people can and will spend that kind of cash on gear. I'd rather have more music! Dennie
  6. It's been my real world experience for a while now. My monthly budget for music has been $200 per month and I try to stretch it as far as possible. To me, the music is the most important thing, not the gear. I've not read the article, but if audiophile means listening to the gear, not the music, I don't fit that description. It's all about the music. If the only thing I had was an AM radio, I could be happy for a long time. Without the music, the AM radio is worthless to me! YMMV. Dennie
  7. I'd be in front of his house waiting for him to come out to get the newspaper. That's funny! But true. He may be there right now... Dennie
  8. Oh Man, that's a tough one! Always take a Pick Up Truck or bigger when picking up KLIPSCH Heritage speakers! [] Well, I guess you'll be listening to all of your "Mono" recordings until Monday, which can be great. Some of my best sounding recordings are mono! Congratulations on getting the CII, how's it sound with the Kenny? Dennie
  9. Today's the big day!! [<)] Keep us posted, Dennie
  10. Congratulations on the decision to purchase the CII's, you won't be disappointed! [<)] I'd try the Kenwood and see how you like it and go from there. [^o)] Keep us posted, Dennie
  11. That's funny! Thanks for posting it! Dennie
  12. Tubes for the Chorus II and SS with the KLF-20's, which everyone is saying requires "higher power". Keep us posted, Dennie
  13. It dosen't get much better than that! [Y] Dennie
  14. I'm a fan, but this album brought me here. Wonderful songs from the great American songbook, great musicians, great guest appearances. Great everything, except the sound was way too brittle, bright and hot. I wanted to have this album sound good so bad, I started purchased different receivers, different versions of Klipsch, different everythings. Thousands of lives and many dollars later, I realized that the engineers on this album should have been taken outside and shot. I don't know if it's compression a hot mix, whatever. Ultimately, it's a spent opportunity that simply crys out for a re-master . I haven't listened to it in years because it breaks my heart everything I listen to it. Hopefully she used better people on her Memphis release. Here you go guys.... I have the CD and it stinks as far as SQ, but the DVD is great! I picked it up on a whim in 2004 and was blown away by her vocals. This little girl can SING!!! If you get a chance, pick up the DVD, you will not be disapointed. ...and thanks for the heads up on "Memphis Blues", I'll add it to my list. Dennie Thanks for the tip on the DVD. I'll check it out. You Sir are welcome! The sound quality is so much better. Which it should be! [^o)] I think there are a few more songs also. [Y] Dennie
  15. Again, I'd rather buy surrounds and have a phantom center. You can fake a center channel, but you can't fake surrounds. Most modern AVR's can be set to run a phantom center, so the center channel signal goes to the front L and R speakers. It actually dosen't sound bad. But, you can't fake surrounds. So, if it were me and I was building an HT, I would buy surrounds first, then a center channel. To answer your question. NO! It's not worth it, IF you are building an HT. If you looking to listen to some of the old Phillips 3 channel CD's, then yes. For HT, NO! IMHO. Dennie

  18. Hey, Hey, great news G.C.! As far as a center channel speaker making a difference, I think adding surround speakers will make a bigger difference first. You can always run a "Phantom" center for the time being. (Phantom means no center channel and the receiver will send that signal to the L and R mains) But, if that is a good deal on a center channel and you want to get it..... get it. You can add surrounds later. Don't worry about asking questions, we believe there is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who don't ask questions. [] We were all new once and had lots of questions too. Now we're paying back for all the help we received. [A] Dennie
  19. Geeze! That sounds like my DSL. [8o|] LOL I downloaded the Denon manual in Spanish first, then had to download the English version. For some stupid reason, I thought the English version would be at the top of the list.... Not so! [:#] Dennie [:S]
  20. My Stupid DSL just happened to be on the quick side today. Not typical!!! [^o)] LOL Dennie
  21. Check out page 97 of your manual, it says it needs to be set to LFE+Main. I hope this helps and if it dosen't, let us know. I can do some more reading if necessary! [8-|] Dennie
  22. Welcome to the Klipsch Forums Greencheese, we're glad you're here! With my Pioneer Elite Receiver, if my speakers are set to Large (in 2 channel) and "Sub On", the sub dosen't play. I have to set the Sub to "SubPlus", not just "Sub On". Does the Denon have a setting like that? Also, if I'm listening at low levels, I have to pump up the volume for a few seconds, to get the signal to the sub, to switch it on. Then I can turn it back down and the sub continues to work. We'll get you through this. Look over the manual about sub settings, it should address this. Maybe! LOL Dennie
