i agree with Paragon also. but has anyone actually heard the 4.2's or 2.1's? how much louder are the v2.400 or 4.1's than those?

i bought it from the klipsch website i meant my room as in my room at home, not the dorm. i don't think my parents would play a prank on me?

So I come home from my dorm, I look in my room and see a big box with a picture of the promedia 4.1 on it. Woohoo, they came in! I was so excited. I've been speakerless for 2 weeks because I sold my v.2-400's, so i could get these. (I'm starting to through withdrawal without any speakers) Anyways, I pick up the box and hm...this box is kinda light. The 4.1's must've lost weight over the v.2-400's? I open it up and.....what the hell? These aren't 4.1's, they're bookshelf speakers!! they're not even klipsch speakers? I called up Klipsch customer service, and they're gonna pick these up on monday and then figure out what they're gonna do, and get me my 4.1's. but aren't the 4.1's out of stock now? maybe they'll send me the 4.2's? i'd rather have the 4.1's tho.. this sucks....i'll probably be speakerless for another 2 weeks...

it's not too hard to make the wires yourself. only costs like $15 total too

i have the exact same problem and want to know the same thing some said you can add second sub by connecting the whole system to a reciever. but i don't want to have to buy a reciever, is there any other way to connect another sub?

anything 128 sounds like crap on the promedias (well to me at least). when i d/l music, i search for at least 192.

i don't think it's "clipping." by the way you described it "rattling" or "farting," it sounds like it's just port noise from the sub.

download a pink noise mp3 from napster, then play it on loop for a few hours. there are a few different types of pink noise (low, low-mid, mid, mid-high, high)....which to use...i'm not really sure?

search for it on napster, there's a lot

Klipsch Promedia 4.1

mine are coming in this week too. and possibley a pair of quintet sats for experimenting

but will the crossover of the quintets cause any problems? that's the only thing that has kept me from buying these, i'm waiting for kblair's results. or anyone elses before i buy them

i'd love to get that sub, but its' very tall...and i don't think i any place for something that tall in my room any other suggestions?

nothing too expensive. it's just that the promedia sub can only really be "felt" at the computer desk. I guess that's the sweet spot, but if i stand anywhere else in the room, the sub cannot be felt at all. that may also have to do with the accoustics of the room....but i want something that will fill the room. something with deep, tight and accurate bass response. when i walk in the room while music playing, i wanna feel it in my chest nothing too expensive tho!
