I had a similar issue on my SW-10. It was diagnosed as a fuse holder, so I replaced that. Didn't fix the problem, volume always at 10:00 position. A couple of months later, no output at all. If the capactitors can be replaced to fix this, I would like to know as well. On mine, the driver itself is just fine. I can run it as a passive sub from another amp, and everything's perfect.

Recently, my KSW-10 Plate Amplifier bit the dust. Rather than replace it for $85, I'm considering converting it to a passive subwoofer. The old amplifier was only 55 watts RMS, and I'm wondering what the power handling capabilities are for this enslosure (with 80/100/120 HZ Low pass)? Even if I replace the plate amp, I will probably get a higher power amplifier, and maybe rebuild the enclosure. Are there any specs available for this woofer itself, without the enclosure? T/S parameters, max power, etc.? Anyone have experience with this?
