I could kick myself for parting with my beloved 8b back in the early 90s! On jazz, classical, other naturally-recorded music the 8B driving properly-placed Klipschorns is sweet realism I've not experienced since. What preamp?

I figured it must be somebody here. Also had Klipsch logo on the back of his window. Ford Super Duty, southbound I-49 between Alexandria & Opelousas LA. I took a photo but it's too blurry. This is me waving HI!

I have a Luxman L-309 (circa 1973, I think) that sounds fantastic with Klipsch. A bonus is the output trim pots on the back. It helps give more useful range on the main volume control on highly sensitive Klipsch speakers. I mainly have used it with Khorns. Also great with Cornwall & Heresy.

Martha!!! I've never heard Argerich more gloriously and real than on Klipschorns. Seems like overkill for just solo piano or other intimate recordings, but it is just magic.

For vintage, I've had two driving my Klipschorns that are outstanding: NEC A11 Beast! ca. 1983. Took a crap on me and needed an unobtanium module. Luxman L380. Beautiful sound, flexible, great phono section. Holding in reserve for daughter & son-in-law for when they get a bigger place.

Madman, the buyer of the tube amps had to rethink things, so both are again available. Packing was $65 and shipping was 168 for the amps plus the DB MC stage (which is also available). I imagine the shipping to Chattanooga will be less than Helena MT!

Fresh tubes, quality iron. $50 Onkyo A/V receiver. Works fine. Looks like doo-doo. Free. CJ PV11. Nice piece, only a few minor blems. Sounds good too! $100 Adcom tuner. $25 Works fine
