  1. My second question is for my friend and me as well it is about the klipsch system 6, is this a good purchase? I currently only have the klipsch promedia (4.1) computer speakers but i really love the sound they produce. I have heard a lot better but not computer speakers and not in the same price range. thank you for any info.
  2. You guys are awesome, thank you for all of the information. It helped me to convince my friend to take that trash back. right now I am telling him to come with me to the local home theater store to try out something similar to the klipsch series 6. thanks a million. I saw a site once where a guy took a part the klipsch system and pointed out the flaws? I was wondering if anyone had the link to this site? thanks for everything.
  3. Hi, a friend of mine is convinced that BOSE make "the greatest sounding speakers" I tried to convince him other wise but he wouldn't even let me finish (stubborn). Anyway he is at the BOSE outlet right now purchasing them.I showed him speakers by KEF,NHT,B&W etc etc. He was not interested. My question is how will this system he is purchasing (lifestyles 12 series 2 home theater) compare to something in the same price range (receiver, center, surround, sub, mains as well as the dvd player)? thanks for any information you can give.
  4. Naw the sats definitely don't make the walls shake. unless you live in a box with an extension cord for the pros .
  5. Awesome thanks a million. I am considering making new cable however i'm not sure the solder less mini jacks from radio shack will work with the WB-1 wall mounted stands? Any ways thank you for the quick reply.
  6. I Did a search but no one seemed to have the same problem i could be wrong? I noticed that the connections on the back of the sats, the mini connectors, when i rotate them while playing music it scratches and the music cuts in and out? However when i rotate then 360 degrees once or twice they stop doing it for a short time, all of the sats are doing this? I was wondering if this was normal or if not how i could fix it for good? thanx in advance for any suggestions you can give.
  7. First let me say how much I appreciate the quick response, its simply amazing! I'm not sure of the original bios settings however i found that i had made an image of my hard drive about two months ago so i just had it load those settings and its works perfectly now. I was thinking of using these http://www.lightspeed2000.com/abitbios.shtml as my bios settings, but i don't want to do something and have another problem like the one i just had. Anyhow I'm happy now and thanx again for the quick response!
  8. Last night while attempting to overclock my P3-450 I had some trouble. My system restarted after i got out of bios but wouldnt boot up i pushed the restart button on my computer and nothing the screen was blank, nothing worked. so i pulled the battery out of my abit BE-6 motherboard in order to reset my bios back to the default, well it worked and my computer was back to normal, except one problem. Windows now wont recognise my pioneer 104 10X dvd rom or my yamaha 2100ez cd rewriter. It recognises them when i am booting up and everything seems fine, but in windows it no longer has the drive letters, it only has the "c" and "A" drives? i whent to device manager and it recognises that i have a "cd-rom" but its non spacific it just says "cd-rom" for both of them where as it used to be spacific? I have tryed everyhting i can think of to fix the problem with no luck? anywho I was seriously hoping mabey i could find some help here? Thanx in advance for any advice you can give.
  9. Thanx for all the info Paragon, the reason I was thinking of going with DDR is i figured future programs would take advantage of it, but since you said QDR ram will be comming out soon i will definatly go with pc 150 untill that happens. I have never over clocked before so i wasn't sure that getting a 1ghz and over clocking would be the best solution, but i figure ill give it a try and if i can save money it will definatly be worth it. I'm glad you brought my attension to the abit board i didn't want on board sound or an AMR slot. Anyways thanx again for all the help. I've desided to get an abit KT7A-RAID, 1ghz T-Bird and 256 of pc 150 ram, and possibley a maxtor 60 gig 7200 rpm, if i have the money. I have one more quick question, I was wondering if i could mix the pc 100 ram that i currently have with the pc 150 ram?
  10. I-will ka266-R, what do you guys think of this motherboard for a 1.2 ghz t-bird? I am going to go with ddr because $70 for 128 megs isn't a problem for me. http://www.iwillusa.com/products/spec.asp?ModelName=KA266-R&SupportID= thanx in advance for your opinion. Here is a review: http://www.overclockers.com/articles285/
