  1. okay if you want surround you wold need to get the audio tornado from the klipsch store, buy a optical cable, and connect the audio tornado to the optical port on the ps2. make sure to enable the optical port in the ps2 OS. if you want stereo sound, look for a Stereo rca to mini plug converter from radio shack, plug the red rca jack to the red plug and the white jack to the white plug. stick the other end of the converter toeither your soundcard input port or the side of the main speaker where it has a musical note. good luck! ps ps2 has an optical port... duh?
  2. great, now im bleeding from the damn screwdriver. what's up with these screws. the v.2-400 screws were tight enough, this is insane.
  3. wierd! ill look into that thread repair kit (whats a thread btw) am i using a wrong type of screwdriver?
  4. what the hell, i am trying to unscew the speaker stand. but i can't what am i doing wrong i mean i just stripped a screw ! its gonna stay like that forever.... someone who has done it how did you?! This message has been edited by heno_c on 08-24-2001 at 03:02 PM
  5. You don't need all that. Plus the adapter in the form of a cord wouldn't get you sound out of all speakers. Just get the Stereo Y-Adapter. You can find it at Radio Shack in a Gray/pink packaging. Plug the red and white plugs from the console to the respective slots in the adapter. From there, plug the adapter into your sound card's line in connector. You may have some trouble pluggin the microphone and the adapter in at the same time because the adapter itself is so thick, so get the 1/8" headphone extention cord and plug the adapter into one end of the cord and plug the cord into the sound card. I'm not sure how much the extention cord is, I found it at school. The adapter is about 4-5 bucks. If you're not getting any sound from the rear speakers, search this board for getting cd-audio from all four speakers. Follow those steps and if you're still not getting rear sound, you may have the wrong adapter. You can easily exchange the adapter from radio shack for a different one, refund whatever... Tell me what happened.
  6. I don't think you can find the cable from radio shack. of course i never looked for that in there. try pc club or if you dont have one near by check out fry's. still not around? damn i can't help. try any small local computer shops. they should have it. oh and you can also try compusa. I have soundblaster live mp3+ 5.1 and I have the same problem. mp3 = 4.1 but cd = 2.1 sound.
  7. Hmm, I may have gotten the mono splitter instead. That explains why when I unplugged the red RCA plug and left the white in and vice versa, I got the same result. I'll check the packaging soon; it's in my car and someone's using it. What's a splitter? Yeah, the A/V Cable which came with the PS2 is stereo. ---------------- *UPDATE* ---------------- Well, I finally got the packaging; it says: Y-ADAPTER AUDIO CABLE For combining or splitting audio signal between components. 1/8" mini plug to phono jacks This isn't the right one, so which one is the right one?
  8. i got a dual rca to a headphone connector from radio shak but i am only getting sound from the left front speaker... why cant i get sound from the right front speaker? i plugged it in on the preamp and the line in on my sblive! same results, tho... and btw is the optical connecter on the ps2 the same with the digital connector on the sblive! ?
  9. ive seen a 16.4 system hooked up. in the magazine maximum pc. they glorify these speakers.
  10. sounds cool! did u call klipsch or outpost?
  11. do you have any idea when this will happen? Any guess will do, cause i want to make sure i have enough to buy it, i have a few expenses to take care of.
