  1. I think I must have posted in the wrong area,,, that sucks !!!
  2. Oh it's good to know you love them with klipsch ,,thanks for the input. Anyone out there know about the input voltage adjust I'll be running the pre outs from my marantz should it be .25v or 2.5 ??(something like that) and how about the taps ?? They run from 1ohm to 8 and I've heard that the rf83's dip as low as 3.5 ???does one give better sound then another???thanks mike
  3. Hi guys got a chance to pick up a mc7270 just wondering if anyone has any experience with this unit and if it would be a good match for my rf83's i have heard that mac amps are pretty high end and sound great but i don't know much about them ,hoping to gain some knowledge and i know you guys got that !! more questions to follow .thanks mike
  4. Hi guys I know of some people that use something like a lead shot and sand mix in the base of there speakers to make the bass sound better has anyone tried this in any klipsch products and would you recommended it ,I know that with some high end speakers they can come with up to 100 lb of lead in the base of them,, how and why does it help ? ,,I'd be scared that the sand could get into the voice coil or something but then again I don't know much about this and this is why I ask :-) Thanks in advance !
  5. Hi guys I picked up a marantz sr5003 av recever with all the pre outs and all the hd formats this weekend got it home hooked it up(1hr reading 1hr wiring and 1hr adjusting lol ) and WOW !! It was like a match made in heaven I could not beleve my ears it was like I got some new higher end speakers or something then I notice that this amp is capable of bi-amping my fronts so what the hee let's give it a try, no use of letting 2 channels go to waste right (I use 5.1)and ,you gussed it WOW !! LOL I think I'm going to hold off on using seprates till I get my rf-83s as this is all the power the rf82 can safely handle imho.oh ya just to let you know I did hook up the pre outs and they all sounded great big inprovement from my old amp thanks for all your advice guys !
  6. Hi guys just wondering if most of the common av receivers have the same quality pre out signal ,I'm going to be buying a receiver soon, nothing too high end hk,marantz something like that but will definitely be using separate amps in the near future.I know that with my current yahama the quality of the sub out sucks and of coarse It doesn't even have pre outs for fronts, center and rear.I just want to make certain that my next receiver will have quality outs because eventually it will be for decoding only and maybe rears. Thanks in advanced []
  7. Well guys I'm happy to say I have found a rc-62 from a dealer in Toronto for 500cad put my order in and it's coming in a few days man am I ever glad that I found one for a decent price I can't wait to hear what it sounds like.Future shop sells this unit for 745cad LOL !! . I just know it's going to blow that yamaha center away and match nicely with my rf-82s thanks for the help guys and for making me wait and make the right purchse !
  8. Ok now that's making sense of it all thanks deanG and to all ohers
  9. So would you guys say that the new 5.1 Dolby true hd (which only hdmi can carry) is better than the 5.1Dolby digital on the older amps with out hdmi ?.I'm wondering because i have a choice between a new style hk with hdmi 1.3 or an older rotel (higher end, lower distortion, more power) that i can get for cheaper,i know that they are both excellent amps and would probably be happy with either,,i just want the best sounding system possible within my budget [H] Thanks
  10. Hi guy just wondering if someone can explain the advantages of using hdmi over optical i know that hdmi supports the new formats like thx select and 7.1 but are there any sound improvements like when i switched from rca to optical it was like night and day.Im currently using optical with my amp set to Dolby digital amd it sounds as good as this amp will ever sound. Is there anything better then dolby digital in these new amps?,, im looking to upgrade and not to interested in this hdmi in thing(not yet) why mix my video with my sound in the same wire also i will be sticking to 5.1 thanks
  11. I put the spikes in them,,very solid on carpet so the kids can't knock them over
  12. Thanks jimmy now I understand,,man if klipsch had sales people with as much knowledge as some of the people on this web site they would sell five times the amount of products they are selling now,,but they probably couldn't afford you guys! ,,you should see the guys selling klipsch products in Canada for futureshop they have no knowledge at all,,it's like they just started working there yesterday unreal ! I'm just going to hold off and buy the rc62 sounds like the right move .
  13. No such store in Toronto,,man I wish there was maybe I'll take a drive over to buffalo and see if I can get a good price on a rc62 in some US store or something,,, I don't know,, it's kinda hard to find a fair price in Toronto and that's bs.Makes me think I got a good deal on my rf82's 800cad like new off some guy that had them for 1week and had to move he even put them back in the box for me :-).
