  1. DUALS!! I got triples now, or if you count my klipsch sub 12 I got Quads!!!
  2. Forget about thinking bought another one! Sorry my name is John and I am an ADDICT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Okay guys, here I go again! I like the look of the cherry sub with my cherry klipsch. And I am sure my wife will agree, so I am thinking of picking up another cherry sub and selling my rosenut pb-13 Ultra Bash amp sub. If anyone wants it I will let it go for $1,100 but I think this would have to be picked up locally or the buyer would have to arrange someone to pick this beast up! I can post this in the garage section also but wanted you guys that have been following this thread to read it first.
  4. my center will be sticking out forward of the tv.
  5. Vic now you sound like my wife!!!!!! we want to get a bigger tv there first, also I still have some electronics on that tv stand that are used. and then the stand hides a lot of the wiring. Also if I put it on the wall the speakers will be sticking way forward of the tv which may look odd.
  6. Here is an older picture. I have a different tv since that one the optic block when out on but I am still using that same stand till I get something smaller.
  7. Boy you are not kidding there!! I got the sub delivered, Cant even think about moving it in the house by myself or I will break my back for sure, so it sits out in the garage until I can get some help. I remember moving the last one was a pain and I was a few years younger. It may just sit until I can make the room, because I need to order a smaller entertainment center. Or I thought about moving my other one out of the way and hooking up the new one there and let the Rosenut svs sit until I get a new entertainment center.
  8. Thats how I am thinking of doing it. but I need a smaller stand for my LED tv so I can make them both fit.
  9. Dont really need more db, but spreading and smoothing it out I could use in the large room.
  10. Call or chat on line with Ed Mullen from SVS. Tell him I told you to call him. He is a wealth of knowledge and will educate you in all audio areas. He is a up front guy and is not trying to sell you something you dont need. John Peters
  11. I never took it that way so no need to say sorry around here. I think you made a good choice in the SVS subs, but as stated above you have a lot to overcome with the square feet and the concrete and ect.... I think you will be much better off and money ahead if you step up to the PB -13 Ultra if you can spend the extra dough. You will achieve much more of the clean bass extension that you are looking for and have the head room to crank it up if needed or wanted. From reading your posts I dont think you will get what your looking for out of your original pick and that is why Jack was trying to get a better suited sub for you and your room. But I really think, and this is just me thinking that the PB-13 Ultra will blow your mind, and you will be over satisfied and not just satisfied with the other sub. Also the Ultra will give you room to grow if your room or equipment change down the line, like it does for most of us when we get infected with upgradeitis!!!!!!!
  12. Okay, those of you that have been following this thread, I just want to let you know that the SVS PB-13 Ultra Subwoofer in American Cherry is secheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Now I just need to try and find the room to run dual subs and where to place it? I could stack them, but WAF may not like that! I think I will have to try and buy as smaller entertainment center and squeeze it between that and my right front speaker, since the other one is by the left front speaker. What do you guys think, that run duals?
  13. My second SVS PB-13 Ultra arrives tomorrow!!!!! Cant go wrong with multiple subs! Now Ii just have to find the room for it. LOL!
  14. Why not step up to the PB-13 Ultra? It will solve your problems plenty. No muddy, boomy base!
  15. Thanks, but its not as good looking as your avatar picture! LOL Here is one more pic.
  16. Looking at a possible Tuesday delivery if I can get it worked out.
  17. Yeah, I know what you mean. I think when I get my sub I am going to go into the setting and do it all manually and measure my distances and set xovers ect. Where is you xovers at now?
  18. That ebay seller is in China with only 6 transactions. I would prefer someone in the states.
  19. I ran some test tones in my room and as I went down below 50hz, the dB decreased as well. I think 60hz may be the best setting for us!
  20. I have one connected with RCA and the other connected with XLR. You can also use a simple Y adapter (see image below). I believe I remember Lonnie saying somewhere that the UMC-1 sub out has enough signal to hook up to 6 subs to the one sub out. Thanks Youth, I was able to squeak it by the WAF, by saying it will match my speakers! Her reply was so you want TWO new ones? Dummy me said no only one! I may have been able to pull 2 SVS subs out of that! Darn it, thats what I get for not thinking fast on my feet. I have seen that Y-cable, I just dont know where to get one from? Also you think it works ok to do rca and xlr for each sub? Thought they would have to go through the same type connection?
  21. Well, I finally placed my order for the SVS PB-13 Ultra in american cherry! Hope its a good match to the klipsch cherry finish? Now I have to figure out how to run both subs out of the umc-1 since it only has 1 sub input. I have my svs rosenut one connected using the xlr connection now.
  22. Thats where I am at but I just switched my center to 80 hz. to try that as that is what was suggested to me from svs. I have not listened enough to tell if the center is better at 60 or 80 or somewhere in the middle. I think I like the 60 hz for the speakers, now I just need to finalize the center. I dont think you want as much lows going to the center, thats why they recommended 80hz even though the rc-64 can go lower.
