  1. I have been exchanging emails with Colin from Nord, who has been excellent, and he said the monos and the stereo sound exactly the same. Said its a true mono in a stereo casing. The just ordered the amps so have to find me a preamp within next couple of days.
  2. Looking for a preamp now so decided to start another thread. So i decided on the Nord One UP NC500DMST Stereo Black amp. Highly recommended and i am very excited!! Check it out at http://www.nordacoustics.co.uk/product-page/41bdb762-066b-10a3-b856-4421f4a3b9e8 As you can see the budget has been extended a little:) This will be powering my new palladium p39f's. I was looking at parasound halo p5 which i can find for low $800 so this is my absolute max budget. It does NOT need to have a headphone amp, NOT need to have phono, and a DAC is not a must because i already have one. People have been suggesting tube preamps but i am having a hard time finding one in the price range. It MUST to have a remote and much prefer it to have XLR out for the amps. I also need a preout for the sub amp so if it has XLR out and also RCA out or dual XLR out it would be great. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

The freight qoute shouldnt be to unreasonable. Give it a shoot. If you add the freight and the price of these i am confident nothing comes close in terms of $ and clean bass output.

    · So i have to sell my very beloved horn subs. Those that know me know this is a huge hit for me:( I recently got some palladium p39f's and WAF is making me get the matching palladium subs as well. I have both subs for a couple years and both work flawlessly. loaded with Dayton sub. No explanation needed of what these subs are capable of. Both in black duratex pics to come. I also have a crest ca12 pro amp that worked very well with subs. Complete overkill i know but is what i was using. I had the mindset to one day upgrade to quad tht's and this amp can push 4 subs with no problem. Pics to come. Please pm me with any other questions and i can give more info on subs, etc. I am wiling to drive down to key west or north as Orlando to deliver. subs measure 72"x24"x18" http://peaveycommercialaudio.com/media/pdf/ca12_11-25-97.pdf Equipment will go on CL in a couple days thought ill give the forum members a shoot first. If your contemplating it don’t, just do it!! This is some serious clean bass here boys. Alex

  8. http://hifiheaven.net/shop/Pre-Owned/Marantz-Reference-PM-11S1-200-watt-Stereo-Integrated-Amp-Preowned Anyone have any experience this integrated? The Marantz pm 11S1? Thank you Bill. I have never been on that website. I have a DAC which i might end up needing. You think they will take some DYI sound panels?
  9. Thanks for all the help guys. Have not decided which way to go The nord amp look really nice but the preamp they make is not support 115V. I am thinking on purchasing the amp from them and then a preamp. I am reading FABULOUS reviews on the amp. The yamaha a-s2100 also has be very intrigued, great reviews. The and c390dd is still also on my mind, It is the cheaper of the bunch and comes with a DAC and sub out which is a plus. Not really going after vintage. Ive been there and at least for right now i am looking at relatively new used or new. I really appreciate all the help you can imagine this is a big decision. I know i said budget was 2k but i can extend to lower 2k if it is worth it. Any more opinions? Alex
  10. I will in a couple of days. I always post here first then go to CL.
  11. As of right now i am not looking to ship these out. Gotten a bunch of pm's to ship out. Roboklipsch you were the first to pm me so if i ship out you will have first dibs. Combined they are big and bulky, not so much heavy, but i think might have to be freight. Ill try and sell them local first..
  12. Moved to new home and wife will absolutely not let me keep these These were DYI. Built with owens corning 703, black burlap fabric, wood from HD (forgot exact wood i used), glue, staples. Please see pics for appearance. These were the first and only panels i have ever built. That are not "perfect" looking but arnt so bad IMO. When placed against the wall, roof or corners hides imperfections on back of panel with stapling job. Below are the prices. Im really just looking to make some $ back on materials used and not looking to make $ of anyone. These took few days, hours a day to make, they weren't easy to make. Below are sizes with pricing. The panels that are 4" thick i used as bass traps in the corners and are double layer OW 703. two - 21"x21"x2" $10 each three - 26"x50"x4" $25 each three - 26'x50'x2' $15 each one 18"x48"x2" $12
  13. Picture was taken with my phone so sorry about the quality but i think you get the idea. You see the two tht there on the ground and i will be getting a new tv. Probably a 75" Its open concept the family, living, dining and kitchen a lot of openness for the sound...
  14. Thank you so much for the help guys!! I am doing my research on a all aforementioned combinations... Those OP amps look interesting. Specs look great just the price looks to good to be true?? Nad has this puppy just released. http://nadelectronics.com/products/masters-series/M32-DirectDigital-DAC-Amplifier Not sure if it is even for sale yet and it will be over my budget. A used one would have been great. I would LOVE a nice mcintosh integrated but I can't find a used newer model for less than 3k and it is just to much $ for me to swing right now. I don't need phono or headphone FYI. Most my music is from my computer, streaming, iTunes, spotify, etc.
  15. Recently bit the bullet on some p39f's!!! Very excited for speakers to come in. I recently purchased a new home, changed out the tile, fully remodeled etc and i needed to big beutiful speakers to go with it. With the WAF taken into account decided on these. Very excited! So title says it all. It is for 90% music and i like to listen at moderate volume levels but i do like to crank it up some times so i would like a amp with some power. I have heard the P39f's sound much better with some power behind them. I want a SS amp with good strong tight bass to get those woofers moving. I would like a integrated amp but i will get a preamp/amp combo as well. Speakers will go in family/tv room which is a open concept with the living room, kitchen and dining room. Room is 28ftx31ft. I will post some pics when i get a chance. I have dual THT with a crest pro amp so if the amp has sub out that would be great. I have been eyeing the nad c390dd. It has great reveiws, good power, sub out, fully digital, good price, etc. What do you guys think? Recomendations? Thank you so much for the help! Alex
  16. Ive owned rf-82, la scalas, klipschorns, cf4's, and lastly danley designed td1's. Out of the klipsch the cf4 imaged the best. The Danleys td1's imaged MUCH better than all of them. IMO
  17. Yes these sold. These will come up every now and then on eBay and maybe the prosoundforum. You have to keep checking and these are hard to find. Good luck. Alex
  18. TTT. Open to reasonable offers. This is the last peice of equipment I need to sell someone this off my hands!! Great dac. Google some of it's reviews.
  19. This is for two speakers. He has another auction for the other two speakers. This is a great deal IMO. Any one know if klipsch has these woofers by themelves available? And how much they run?
