  1. yes it could be..cause the ultra 2 subs, when connected to a receiver depends a lot on theouput signal of the receiver..that is, the volt of the sub pre out..tha amps just drives the sub..but to amplify the freqs it receives to the best manner, the input signal strength is very crucial... hope this helps..cheers
  2. my room size is 16' by 22.. i have a THX ultra 2 receiver..and on my Sub amp i have switched THX on..
  3. ihave used quite a few subs and this pair gives me more than the wow feel...a few things to keep in mind.... the sub preout from the preamp/receiver is very important..and am sure either the emotiva or the marantz THX av 8003 will suffice.. trust me..not heard a better sub at this price
  4. my sincere apologies dear friend...got too busy with profession and a few other familiy disasters prevented me from posting pics nd completing this thread..am really really sorry...i never meant to take the inputs and fader away...i have just bought a digicam and have clicked pics of my completed room..will post them after work tomo.. i hope u all forgive me...
  5. dear friends..first of all am really very sorry for keeping this thread idle...but the good news is..i have taken my own sweet time and has just finished my home theater.... my equipment is... klipsch Thx ultra 2 speakers with 2 kw-120 subs marantz AV 8003 preamp sunfire 7400 400* 7 power amp pioneer BDP-LX 71 blu ray sony PS3 dvico Tvix juke box Optoma HD 8200 projector Elite EZ frame 120" diagonal acousticpro 1080 material straight wire cables. am taking various pics and will post them later tonight or tomorrow....and thanks a lot for everyone, who has helped and guided me throout this process..without u guy's help i would nevr have been able to get my dream to come true..thanks again..cheers Auralex acoustic panels
  6. hi..please have a look at elite acousticpro 1080 material..i use it....really happy with it...
  7. Thanks, basically using all the speakers I already had, just have a single RB-81 and a pair of KS-525's boxed up. Bedroom has RB-81's, RC-62, RS-52's and RT-10D with Elite SC-05. Was using all 81's, but figured I could put them to better use else where. I will say the 81 makes for a great center channel speaker, prefer it over the 62. Yeah, that's a SVS tube in corner. Doesn't sound great on top of desk, but better than it did under it. Still moving it around and trying different locations but don't have many options. The SVS PB12-plus2 is pulling gym duty. Never really could get it sounding right after I got the 650's in HT. Very happy with the KW-120's, for me, they a far superior to the SVS. The 120's still can get really deep, similiar to the SVS, but they blend so much better. It could be that I just wasn't able to get the SVS tuned correctly, but really impressed with the KW-120's. That's my 6 yr old bulldog, thanks for compliments. great system man....congrats..ithe klipsch ultra 2 qith two subs...after looking at ur 4 subs am planning on getting another two..but my room is a dedicated theater room 14 feet wide by 22 fet long...will 4 thx subs be over kill??
  8. Thanks james..its been a totally confusing process..but i am happy that i picked the stuffs that am satisfied with..i will post the pics very shrotly..
  9. the absence of the HD audio codecs was driving me crazy...so i upgraded to seperates.....my sunfire distributor THE AUDIO PEOPLE in chennai are great guys when it comes to customer support..they agreed to exchange my sunfire TGR 401... i returned it, and took home the TGA 7400..and for the preamp i bought marantz AV8003... guys, the sound is awesome....my room acoustics are getting done..it should be complete in a couple of weeks.. will post the pics..thanks for the guidance and support..luv u all.. cheers
  10. Hi all...received my sunfire TGR today..connected my subs..and WOW!!no probs with it driving the subs...i am still waiting for my room to get completed..once it gets done , i will connect everything and post a detailed review and photos..cheers....

  12. thanks Dr. who.. Indy, i definitely trust you mate..or else i would not ask for ur suggestions..thanks for ur inputs..i will stick to my THX subs..no way i wanna get rid of them...i was considering the JL fathom for the add on....looks like the wise thing to do is get a THX KA amp and a THX subwoofer.... By the way, i have ordered Auralex panels for my room acoustics...am eagerly waiting for them...
  13. Roger..how do u rate the JL audio Fathom f113?? will it work well with the klipsch THX subs inmy setup??am getting a great deal on that?? plz share ur thoughts
  14. am sure will do..i will be very happy to post the pics alongside some of the best systems in the world on this forum
  15. thanks a lot joe...i will get into the room acoustics hopefully by next week end...i have built the wall with 4.5 inch brick and then stuffed glass wool for 5mm and again built a 45.inch brick work on all the side walls....am planning to put a drop ceiling with plywood and treat the cieling, walls with auralex proplus kit..the floor will be wooded with a rug thrown in the half from the screen to the first row.... am looking at elite screens acoustic pro version..it is either available in 106 or 120 incher....any idea how these are..my room is 22 feet long by 15 feet wide with 9" cieling...if i put the center behind the screen, then i will have a 20 feet distance from the screen to the back wall...am buying an optoma HD 80 projector....can i set it up to throw 120 inches?? please share your thoughts.. Indy, thanks for the suggestion..it looks good...but i was bedating between pioneer elite, denon 3800BT, marantz THX blu ray player..are these way better than the sony?? Thanks in advance guys..cheers
