  1. Background : I have a pair of the original Klipsch RF-3. One 8" driver was damaged in my move. I purchased a replacement through an authorized dealer. Klipsch no longer makes the K-1083-S. The replacement is the K-1083-SB which has different part numbers on it for the magnet and surround. If anyone has a K-1083-S laying aroung please contact me. The K-1083-S has p/n 178A on the surround while the K-10830-SB has p/n YC 178B on the surround.
  2. Can the tilt post be used to support the RC-3 from either the top or the bottom?
  3. I also bought mine @ Tweeter...what about an upgrade from the RF-3s to the RF-5s?
  4. I have not turned on my system in months...I decided to today...and I wanted to see the drivers...so I took the grill off. Well the top plastic insert was broken. It does not piss me off that it is broken...it pisses me off that no one told me they broke it. You know that feeling?? Anyway...I tried the search, but I have other things to do today they wait for my hair to grow and inch watching the search perform it function... Where do I buy replacement grills???
  5. The STRV333es is a new reciever, it replaced the STR-DA333ES. I have the STRV555es, it is a good product, but if you want much better 2 channel sound I would suggest going with a denon or marantz.
  6. I have a pair of the RF-3s. This is for my mother. Thanks, I will look into Parasound and NAD.
  7. These are 22 year old speakers, that were pretty much my reference for buying new speakers. They belong to my mother. I have repaired the high-mid speaker, so they are in mint condition now. For a birthday gift for her, I want to give her a nice stereo setup. I want to keep it under $5,000. I need an amp, pre-amp, cd player and LP. Any suggestions? The speakers have a very soft yet full sound. Frankly I have not found a pair that come close to their life-like sound. Oh, does anyone knows what happened to Omega? The speakers are Omega Centurion Model VI.
  8. The reason I asked was cause I bought some IXOS 6006 Gamma Geometry 11awg speaker wire. I needed 25' runs and I figured the twisting would shield it best. I figured that Klipsch would use what sounded the best, and they were definitely not what I got. Well anyway the IXOS cables are much better than what I had before. http://www.ixoscable.com/html/products/speaker/6006.html
  9. I am curious, what speaker cables did the Klipsch booth use on that setup at CES 2001? Did anyone get a close look at them? If not it is of no importance...just curiosity.
