  1. The v.2-400's are THX certified?? You would think that the speaker wires would be at least 16 gauge for as long as they made them. I assume THX certification just pertains to the speaker architecture but better wires would definitely have improved the overall sound. Keep pushing Amy! I am not going to argue about speaker wire theories but for longer runs it is better to have lower gauge wiring which also helps prevent interference (especially near all the power lines used by a PC). The long (high gauge & weak shielding) wires supplied for each satellite definitely hinder the Klipsch's performance. Has anyone tried to just splice (properly) better speaker wires to the mono plugs? What I am going to do is cut about 2 inches from each plug and splice (solder or male-female) better wires to the 4 plugs making sure for proper polarity.....Any ideas?
