  1. Ah, I see. It was a fortified gateway charging a toll if you will.
  2. I wonder why it was built so heavy duty? It was a lookout, right?
  3. This is our backyard. They must really like the Winter Rye grass I sowed.
  4. That's cool. A bunch of parrots land in the yard. I bet those guys have a lot to say when they visit. Kinda like a Cockatoo.
  5. "drop your a$$ to the ground like your knees still work" Too funny.
  6. My condolences to you Ma'am. Enjoyed knowing Kendall here. May Gold bless you and your family during this hard time.
  7. It's your name they keep losing. 😁
  8. Well, you are an attorney! You would think it's more efficient. The reality (for me anyway) is it's not. Certainly a case by case situation. These accounts my dad has need management. Beneficiaries are only part of the picture and let's not even dive into the quirks of Probate Law after the fact! There is no wondering about what to do here. I've consolidated what was once a nightmare across a doz banks and 20 accounts down to just 4 banks. All real property has already been conveyed and PODs have been verified for the larger accounts (CDs and IRAs). Around here the Probate process seems frozen while a "notice of probate" is published in the local newspaper for at least 30 days. Sometime after that, you might get that Letter of Testamentary if our Probate Judge is so inclined to oblige.
  9. That's crazy. I went to the bank, set up beneficiaries on all my dads accounts per some good advice here. 5 years go by and I go back to verify those said beneficiaries for good measure. They only had 2 out of the 3 that were originally set up..............Totally dropped one person off the map. Isn't that comforting?
  10. Turbotax for a long time. I use the Deluxe version because it has the state and schedule Cs. I buy it at Sams or Costco for $39.00.
  11. Drew Brees retired today after 20 years in the NFL. Gonna miss seeing him throw it around for the Saints.
  12. We got great news today. The ligament is only strained and not torn. He can resume light throwing next week and we have him lined up for some physical therapy on it too. Thanks for your thoughts and comments.
  13. I would say a good 30 minutes warming up, but I suspect this problem is from many years of overuse as much as anything. He has pitched one game and then caught 2 games in 24 hrs more times than I can count. Doc. thinks the ligament might simply be "worn out". His coach told him today to get a new glove and start working with throwing lefty and he would use him on 1st. He is our still our DH and batting is unaffected by the problem. We'll see what happens.
  14. Thanks for the well wishes and concern guys. I thought somebody here might have had this procedure. JJK, sounds like you could of had an arm procedure or two yourself. I suggested he start throwing with the left hand. He didn't seem to like that idea.
  15. Waiting on MRI results, but it 's already not looking good. A whole lot of baseball over 12 years has gotten us to this place. He can do anything except throw a baseball without pain. Really weird in that he could bench press a Pinto, but can't hardly throw a ball. Does anybody here have experience with this?
  16. It does seem in my area that cases are down. I know of fewer people getting it. At one point I personally knew maybe 2 dozen people with it. Right now I only know 1 person with it. A small sample I know, but it seems to parallel reports on TV.
