    What I Got Today!

Got lucky last June. The guy who played the father on the TV show Frasier, John Mahoney, was the uncle of the local large auction house so when he died, they had his sale. They sold his stuff which went to an international audience online. I saw this in the sale bill and surfed it up. https://www.lumens.com/arco-floor-lamp-by-flos-PAAAIAPEMFGNDCAJ.html#cgid=66&&tileIndex=9 Evidently no one else did as I got it for $225. It is beautifully designed and executed and doesn't offend the Khorns https://sullivanauctioneers.proxibid.com/Sullivan-Auctioneers-LLC/John-Mahoney-No-Reserve-Estate-Auction/event-catalog/145511
  2. I don't know what they're like from the inside but when I meet a pick-up truck with annoying headlights it's usually a newer Ford.
  3. Then go to the glass shop and have a couple of pieces cut. Or live in fear of feeling this way When it happens again.

A widow is at her husband's funeral, sitting in the front row. One of the husband's friends taps her on the shoulder and asks, "may I get up and say something?" She replies, "yes, please." He stands up, walks to the front, clears his throat and says, "Plethora" and returns to his seat. The woman turns around and says, "thank you, that means a lot."

  11. A knee-jerk reaction of politicians, based in racism, promoted by a government parasite who was going to lose his job prohibiting alcohol. I have no doubt that history will show marijuana prohibition to be one of the worst things the U.S. government ever did to its people. Billions of dollars wasted, innumerable lives lost or wasted. Much worse than the 10,000 people who were killed by the government during by adding poison to it during alcohol prohibition. If you want to make a plant illegal, pick poison ivy. ↵ Use original player The Sinister Reason Weed is Illegal By CollegeHumor YouTube 720p 360p ← Replay X i

My others are full width openings. Xovers are AA but my others had electric motor start/run capacitors unlike these. I'll go pick them up later this week.

Lit up a new power source this week that the new LS pair will probably live under. Supposed to pay for itself in 5 years.

  18. Kill your browser and relight it with shift held down. Let me know if that doesn't fix it.
  19. This one is available for the cost of shipping. Haven't used it in forever and as I remember the switches were crunchy, may need a CAIG job.
  20. I do occasional work in hog confinements and the gases destroy steel and will eat right thru Snap-on chrome. The biosecurity measures are justifiably intense to fight the spread of a couple of diseases and we shower in because we have to and shower out because we want to.
  21. True that. You have to pick up 12 pennies per second to make the $7.25 federal minimum wage. I keep all the pre-1982 ones I get as they're copper and can be made into some of the very best speaker cones. 82 and after are made of zinc and are only good as sacrificial anodes.

  23. Chances are fair that the harddrive in the computer is ok even if the machine won't light. A good computer guy can tell you for sure. If they can't access the drive it will have to go to a recovery service which is pricey. You'll have to decide if what's on the drive is worth the money. I've used Gillware several times with good results. They will do a free estimate. Mostly what I've done for the past 38 years has been replacing and restoring harddrives. It's not a matter of if you're going to have a harddrive failure, it's a matter of when. Your when may have just happened. You are only as good as your last backup. Backup drives are cheap insurance and the process is automatic on modern operating systems. If you're a Mac user I may be able to help. I don't do Windoze.

  25. Good choice on the 72. I think in the long run it will be considered significant as the last year for hidden wipers, chrome bumpers on both ends, functional rear vents, removeable rear window and a decent compression ratio. Enjoy. A buddy of mine sold my green 72 for me in 82 and told the buyer that, obviously the odo had rolled over as it showed around 50K. He neglected to mention that it had rolled over twice. Sold it for the $5000 I'd paid for it. Went thru a lot of half-shaft u-joints, rear spindles and bearings and rear spring main leaves until I switched to a fiberglass rear spring. It was my IBM service vehicle and would push thru deep snow like no other vehicle I've owned.
