  1. Guys, it's inevitable. MILF turns to GILF
  2. From the description it sounded like they were already *****'d up. And certainly a nice offer.
  3. Currently an Apple Certified tech at a minor midwestern university following downsizing after 21.5 years in customer service with IBM. Also farming cattle, beans and corn. Real credentials: Served as president of the future gynecologists club in high school.
  4. Ah, for the old west, where the men were men (sort of) and the sheep knew it. The Gunfighter on Vimeo
  5. I was pretty sure it all started at the generation facility but I guess that shows how smrt I am. I bet these are so good you can plug Bose speakers directly in to them.
  6. Very tempting. Would replace my RC64 II so if I can find that a new home I'll be in touch.
  7. Cats will spray, neutered, spayed or not. Males and females spray from anal glands located on either side of their Bosehole. The spray stinks bad and is very acidic - eats into steel like battery acid.
  8. I realize it's usually an impossible option for most but the difference between front and rear projection is large. It's the difference between reflecting the light and having it come straight at you. I wish I had the problem of having to hide your speakers.
  9. Another option: Official Speaker Repair Site - Orange County Speaker - Home of GLS Audio
  10. Klipsch Speakers set of 2 Vintage E'd the guy and got this response so I have doubts that they ever really existed - Thank you for your interest in my ad. However, I'm sorry to say I met someone else and sold it already. If you’re still trying to find a good deal on it then i am suggesting this site- www.greatestpenny.com It's where i got mine from. It’s an auction site. The bids are really cheap. Just bid when there’s under 5 seconds left and it’s easy to win. Best Regards John Abraham
  11. Bought this to be able to run in all tube mode then replaced it with a Jolida JD5T to have a(nother) remote. It appears to be homemade/kit and always worked fine. Cosmetically I'd give it a 7. The tubes; 150C4 and 75C1 are Mullards, the 6SN7's are Russian Electro Harmonix and the rectifier appears to be a Chinese 6Z4. Center pin is broken off of one of the Russians but keying is obvious. Price is $200 plus actual shipping. Local pickup/meetup available if you're near the Mississippi river where Illinois, Iowa and Missouri meet. Payment is cash, check (with clearance delay) or PayPal + 3%. Offered exclusively here to you guys before going to Evilbay
  12. Cheap insurance and better footprint for loads on top of speakers and solid top (unvented) components - glass tops. Khorns, La Scalas, RC-64II, RSW-15 are all plated. RSW requires vinyl discs under glass or it 'walks'. I've been playing with edge lighting the glass on the Khorns. Hard get a decent low light image but it's a nice glow in an HT room. Right is cfl tube on one side edge and left is led on both corner edges in aluminum channel.
  13. I'll take it as mine seems to be have become a paperweight at the moment.
  14. (snark) I have heard that the grill-less grills have a much more open sound and are hard to not find. (unsnark) Best Wishes to all for the new year. Bob
  15. No affiliation http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-Klipschorn-Speaker-Pair-Rare-Vintage-/111137620876?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item19e051838c Best Wishes all. Bob
  16. CFL's disgust me but the sheeple buy them like crazy. For good deals on led's check out http://1000bulbs.com/
  17. This would be an installation where I would fly them rather than just storage and I can't justify sacrificing a pair of either. I think I need to find a pair of LaScala Pros. Thanks for the input. Bob
  18. I'm looking to have a pair of Khorns or LaScalas in a building with no heat or AC. Temps will range from -20 to over 100F and humidity will swing from very low in winter to near 100% in summer. I'd think the biggest vulnerability might be the woofer surrounds. Anyone have any experience with similar installations? Thanks. Bob
  19. Thanks. I'll have to evaluate that as they are going to be shipped to the Netherlands.
  20. Trying to arrange to send AK-2 crossovers to a groupmember on the Garage Sale board. When I got my Khorns a few years ago I installed new Crites AA's. Can't remember for sure but it seems like there were AK crossover components in the bass bin as well as the board in the top. Can someone confirm/deny this as I'm sure you can understand I'd rather not move them if I don't have to. TIA. Bob
  21. As a general rule you will do better with whatever lumens you have using rear projection as the light is coming at you instead of bouncing back to you./Bob
  22. Not mine. Just out there. Prototype: http://www.chambonino.com/construct/const9.html Final: http://www.chambonino.com/construct/const17.html
