  1. Nice set up. I did not know these existed.
  2. Same here. My noisiest albums are the new pressings I have with crackling and popping and I clean every album, new or old before played. Most of my original albums are amazingly quiet.
  3. Just purchased at local record store. Sounds great. Daryl Hall & John Oates - Abandoned Luncheonette (180 Gram Translucent Red Audiophile Vinyl/Limited Anniversary Edition /Gatefold Cover)
  4. Please post here the link to the new thread when you do start one please.
  5. Still very good. My impression is that they sound to me to be clearer, more spacious and easier to listen to when I turn them up a little. Very detailed.
  6. Just received notice that our contract was ending and the new one is double. Insane.
  7. Wow, what a score, how great is that. Beautiful. Congrats.
  8. I had a Halcro for a while and it sounded very good but it was missing something. It never drew me into the music, hard to explain. ymmv
  9. https://jemperformanceaudio.com/ I ordered from JEM and I don't know what brand they are. Maybe someone else here knows.
  10. The speakers sounded good before I changed the caps, maybe a little tizzy and thin if I am looking for something perceived to comment on. They did not sound veiled to me. they also did not sound as good as I remembered my original Chorus sounding years ago. I figured different room, amplifier, older ears etc.. Short answer they needed new caps. They sound full crisp fast and tight and the bass is hitting me in the chest, they sound like I remember them now. Love it.
  11. All of the caps are hot glued to the boards. What is the best way to remove them?
  12. I am going to refresh the crossovers in my Chorus speakers today and before I attempt I was hoping to get some guidance on removal to save time.
  13. I was just curious if the factory had produced a different version or update before the II's with the tubes.
  14. Question, I have seen pictures of these speakers with the typical flared port tubes instead of just the round holes in the speaker like mine. Are there two versions?
  15. Well I have been listening to the Chorus speakers now for almost a week and I am very pleased with them. I just picked up a tube amp today and switched them over from the Marantz SR8015. The sound is absolutely fantastic, excellent synergy I could not be happier. My first pair of Klipsch speakers were Chorus II's and I had always regreted selling them to my friend. Some of what I have owned through the years, Khorns Belles Lascalas Cornwalls Heresy's Kg's RF7II's etc. the list goes on. Happy to be back with some Chorus.
  16. Sad to hear of this. Class act.
  17. No but my 59 year old back appreciated them much less than it used too. 😂
  18. As always thanks for the information, greatly appreciated.
