  1. You did not jump in and discuss or mention if you would cover International shipping ; NO, as I "stayed tuned" like you asked me to. You could have asked me right away as I made clear from the start I'm located outside the U.S. SMILE. It's a pair of tubes dude.; NO, as it's not about the tubes , it's the way you sold them after your made me wait for more info. You never bothered to PM me you decideded differently; that's simply not done on any forum, let alone in life and if you have any decency in you,you know it. You profiled yourself as a seller that can't be trusted. Period.
  2. Sorry I'd rather ship CONUS. It would be normal if you'd informed me right from the start instead of letting me wait and selling behind my back. This is no way to deal with people and you know it. Saying sorry is just a lame excuse , I will advise nobody to deal with you; your word means nothing. Same goes for you SCHU, you're a backstabber. Nico
  3. How did you ever make it to work? Know what you're saying but if you drive there every day for 17 years you get pretty much used to it. I'll never get used to this though; see how I'm screwed by two of our "respected members" here. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/152151-cleaning-house-dsd-adc-tubes-usb-cable/ [sorry for beeing off-topic, but untill now I felt so good beeing here] Nico
  4. So Schu, what have you got to say about your behaviour ;https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/152151-cleaning-house-dsd-adc-tubes-usb-cable/ You knew from the start you were stabbing me in the back by doing this.
  5. What has happened here? I asked for the tubes said I would take them, you tell me to "stay tuned".... now they are sold ? Explain please ! Schu, did you buy those tubes behind my back or what?
  6. Time to check things from the beginning; search for loose cables, or other visible damage in your install. I highly doubt this could occour from changing caps....
  7. Picture taken on the way to work today. I ride here every day, but this morning I just had to stop and capture this moment. The Netherlands , just under the city of Amsterdam.
  8. The biggest difference I noticed immediately was the total absence of strain; it has a very "relaxed sound" especially with vocals. I do not play loud, so this difference does not come from the 2 inch drivers beeing capable of higher power-handling. Nico
  9. Like to try the 6922 tubes in my Decware Zen amps; if you can ship them well packed to The Netherlands I'm in for it. Thanks, Nico
  10. Yep, a fish I felt for years. As the years passed I met some people who put me in front of a mirror; turned out I wasn't a fish but a monkey. So I climbed that tree late in life, and the view is awesome. Now I try to be someone who holds that mirror for others. Nico
  11. In the 50's Mercedes once showed the "ruggedness" of their roof-construction by placing more than 20 people on the roof of a bus.... Found the picture in one of our original workshop-manuals. Not to mention the crash-tests with various models strapped to a rocket and crashed against a concrete wall. After having to haul several cars out of the ditch further down the test-site [powerfull rockets..] , they attached a chain to the car so they wouldn't have to drive that far to examine the remains and drag it out of the ditch. So a single La Scala is no problem for a Merc !
  12. For what it's worth; my 2-way system is crossed over at 1Khz and when switching time-alignment in- or out the effect is obvious. Try a good recorded drumsession and listen for the attack on the drum itself and the "punch" that follows. When those two arrive at the listenener's position at the same time it really sounds like a drum; fast, dry, explosive...you give it a name. When not aligned it just does not sound as a real drum anymore [my experience]. Also mentioned before; it makes for that "wigglin' toes" effect.
  13. Now that's the spirit ! Nicely thought out and constructed, what some folks do to get a good speaker home.... good thing you didn't have to make a emergency-stop though..... Enjoy your new asset.
  14. Good for you! After working on your setup, wether components or speakers, it's good to relax and enjoy..... I also like to experiment a bit and listen for the difference, if any. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I go back right away, but when it sounds and feels good I just leave it that way for a few weeks and turn back once more to compare. For others this might seem silly, but I find it enjoyable and educational Enjoy your Khorns!

If you've spent a LOT of time on here lurking (highly doubtful), you would realize you are sadly mistaken. Bruce That's right; MINE are the nicest! ..........

Phoenixphorum? sorry, i have no idea what this means. I went to public schools, this word is too big. No prob. with your education; you're simply an other Mr. Tibbs than on that particular forum.

Thinking back of the Muppetshow, it surprises me howmany of those characters actually live in my neighbourhood.... -there's my direct neighbour who looks like the skinny one of the "grumpy old men" [talks that way too] -my mother-in-law stood model for miss piggy but older [much] -one nephew of mine is the reincarnation of "Harry dynamite" , throwing firecrackers all year round, behaving just like him -the creators of the Muppetshow took the father-in-law of my boss to create "Sam the eagle"... defenately. And we saw "the Swedish chef" in a restaurant last weekend; my wife pooked me in the side and said "chicken-in-the-basket" with that funny accent while she turned her eyeballs to the direction of the kitchen...I nearly choked in my soup.
  19. I'm very happy with the Beyma CP750Ti drivers bolted to EV 9040 horns. Make a very good 2-way system, crossed at 1Khz.
  20. Oh yeah, and the cryo-treatments and cable burn-in devices..... could drive you crazy and your wallet empty. [if it costs a fortune, it must work right?]
  21. Strange thing with audio is that some things do work, while they can not be explained....others are just simply snake-oil; up to you to find out.
  22. Welcome to the forum, and don't forget to read what is already been written about your subject in many posts..... Use the "search" option to find more info about crossovers, cap changing and alternatives; there's plenty info around! Enjoy your La Scala's .
  23. Grilles on most of the time, but I agree it does something with the sound regarding the highs. Like them without grilles more personally, but my wife.... I do have a nice view of my woofers though!
