  1. Front 3 speakers are Forte II's and the 4 rear speakers are all KG4's.
  2. I thought I read a thread about ceiling mounting KG4's but can't find it. For a 7.1 system, I need to mount my side surround KG4's on the ceiling. I need to mount them horiontally and I will have them angeled down towards the listeners. PLEASE HELP!!! Thank You, Devin
  3. Hello, I want to buy an amp to power my 3 Forte II's (fronts and center). 3 Channel amp, 200 watts per channel. My AV receiver is a Yamaha 3900. What would you recommend? Thanks, Devin
  4. First off, thanks for all your replies. I am putting a HT in my basement. Here is my set up: Yamaha RX-V3900 (140 watts per channel). Using 3 Forte II for fronts and center (100 watts continues) and 4 KG-4's for the rear channels (100 watts continues). I also have an KLIPSCH 15" SUBWOOFER KSW-15 (265 powered watts 800 watts peak). The Forte II's and the KG-4's both have 500 watts peak. This system will run a JVC DLA-HD350 projector with a Bluray player. I want the WOW factor during movies as well as listening to tunes. I hadn't considered an external amp until I started reading this forum. But now.......... Questions: With my speakers 100 watt cont. 500 peak and the Yamaha pumping out 140 watts per channel do I need an external amp? What does 100 watt cont. and 500 watts peak mean? Whould a 250 watt amp for the front 3 Forte II hurt them? If all is good what would be a good match to power my front 3 Forte II's with the Yamaha RX-V3900? Thanks again for all your replies!!! Devin
  5. Hello All I'm thinking about buying a Yamaha RX-V3900. I'm setting up a HT in my basement with a front projecter and a 120" screen. I'm using Forte II's for the fonts & center & KG-4's for the rear channels. Bluray, X-box and a JVC DLA-HD350 for the front projecter. Does anyone know or have any experience with the Yamaha 3900? I've always had Yamaha receivers and Yamaha A/V receivers and have never had any problems with them. Thanks
  6. I have 2 sets of KG 4's. I was thinking about using them for the rear channels. I am setting up a 7.1 surround system in my basement, I will use Forte II's for the front, the center channel is still in the air, see my other post about the center. Thanks for reading, Devin
  7. I have Forte 2's for the fronts. I need a horizontal speaker to fit my room for the center channel. Will I mess up the sound if I lay a Forte 2 on its side for a center channel? (a third Forte 2). E-bay doesn't have any Academy centers for sale right now. Thanks for your replies, Devin
