i liked your initial equipment listing.
understand previous posts regarding HII or heresey's but sometimes i wonder if anyone on this forum has every purchased any new klipsch speakers!
personally, i would get the new H3's...

i'm running khorns in a small room. as i've said before, there are no synergies involved in running smaller speakers in small rooms.
yes, khorns will be better than corns in big rooms, and they will be better than corns in small rooms.
i love corns, i've heard them in small rooms ( not impressed) and in medium rooms, very nice. i have not heard corns in a large room.
i have heard khorns in small, medium and large rooms. they love big spaces but they kill other speakers in medium and small rooms.
your mileage may vary...

Ran SS with Khorns and the match was fine.
Tried a couple of different tube solutions before ending up with VRD's and BBX pre, and this is a very good combination.
Is it better that solid state? I can't say from personal experience as i had only medium quality solid state amps at best...never spent the same$ on SS as i did with tubes....

Vinny and Sal are out in the woods hunting when suddenly Sal grabs his

got the bbx back today from electronic repair shop.
basically just several connections that needed to be re soldered and a couple of relays that were acting up.
he could have told me anything, but it does work now, and sounds wonderful! [

i have khorns in a room of similiar size, just a tad bigger. so i'd recommend khorns!!

i ordered these tubes from dougs tubes, then remembered that i had the same tubes in an intergrated Jolida 102b.
it had two AT7's and an AX 7 so i put those in the BBX.
about halfway into the second track, the sound volume dropped down and distorted, same as before.
i'm scratching my head...
mark, anything else i should look at?
would a bad cartridge act in this manner?

I've had a JM BBX for some time and just recently, in the last few days, tried the phono stage. Records play great for a few minutes then the volume drops down signigicantly out and everything distorts. After than every once in awhile it will clear up some, usually on louder passages, but its not right.
I'm using a new Rega RP3, Elyse II cartridge.
All the line stages work fine and sound superb.
Can anyone offer any advice and point me in the right direction?

Well, a single sub, hsu, vtf-15h.
It sounds very good, although it took awhile to realize that it blended better turned down a bit [H]
On some music, the sub doesn't do anything, on some tracks, the very low end appears from nowhere. Sounds fantastic!
