  1. i have a pioneer elite and i dont use the "mcacc" setup the auto speaker tuning bs i dont believe in it
  2. hey all, with tax return coming around the corner ive been interested in purchasing rf-82's but i hate the look of the new reference line looks "cheap" to me i guess, the grills i think are not even magnetic, with that being said i was wondering if someone knos a good place over the net with free shipping that carries the last reference series another reason im looking for them is to match my rf-62's which are my mains now i will be turning them into surrounds haha and using my rb-51s for rear surrounds
  3. well i bought the 2009 pioneer non elite receiver vsx 1019 and was advertised as 120x7 watts which wasnt what the manual says...it said 90 watt per channel, and it was distorting at loud volumes i read that inside of the amp had cheap parts this year so i dunno if the denon with 90 watts would be the same or if its a more solid 90 watts
  4. im not to sure what to buy i want power and dont know if denon's receiver is a true 90 watts and if the elite is a true 110 watts, if anyone knows anything about these lemme know
  5. i just bought this receiver, looks nice, has the hd formats i was looking for, sounds good, but doesnt seem to have as much juice compared to my old pioneer which was a 110 wat x 6 so i looked into it more and looked in the manual at the specs looking for wattage the wattage says that it runs continuous at 90 watts per channel its advertised as 120x7 did some research and theres alot of people on forums talking bad about this amp, so i called pioneer asking about the wattage and i told him that it says 90 watt per channel but you guys advertised it 120w per channel all he had to say is that it is a typo in the manual....sounds like a marketing stun to me. now im pissed because i dont know for sure how many watts my new receiver is lol its not comforting at all....was wondering if anyone know anything about this amp its the new top of the line (non elite series) vsx-1019ah-k
  6. do you need a receiver that decodes the hd formats to get the sound i thought i read somewhere that the blu ray players this year have onboard decoders and that u dont need the decoders on the receiver i dont know though, if anyone knows lemme know because i was gonna buy a new receiver and if i dont need to im not gonna
  7. i cant decide what one to get i was looking at a denon model is AVR1910 and a yamaha RX-V665 theres also a similar version of that yamaha its the HTS line i think and a onkyo HT-RC160 or the onkyo TX-SR607 wanna know if anyone knows the best sounding and best matching for my rf-62's my rc-62 and my rb-51's also the best features and upscaling and reliabilty thanks guys. if u have another receiver thats 7.1 for 400-550 dollars lemme know as well. on another note all three of those amps are 90 watts x 7 i was hoping that was enough to power my klipsch good
  8. im looking at the new sony that came out its a 7.1 770 watts receiver the model is....STR-DN1000, if anyone has an opinion on a sony receiver it would be helpful ive never owned a sont amp, and i have owned sony car audio and its terrible but i have a feeling the home theater line of products is alot better
  9. i have rf-62's, rc-62 and rb-51's only a 5.1 setup but i want a 7.1 receiver for the future i was looking at the following receivers.. http://www.onkyousa.com/model.cfm?m=TX-SR607&class=Receiver&p=i and http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9238979&type=product&id=1218065494903 and http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/productdetail.html?CNTID=5028057&CTID=5000300 what does everyone think, i was aiming on the onkyo..
  10. i need to get a receiver with the decoders to go with rf-62's rc-62 and rb-51's dont need a 7.1 receiver it can be 5.1 with a price range of 300-500 just wondering if anyone new a good receiver to go good with my klipsch's and my budget

    rc-64

i have rf-62's i wanna get a rc-64 really bad but is it to much for the 62's? shouold i settle for the rc-62?
  12. i have a 52'' tv with a stand my problem with it is theres nowhere good to put my center speaker, i have kept my center speaker in the stand under the tv but thats to low to the ground were talking about 6 or 7 inches from the ground, my point is that im gonna be purchasing the rc-64 and its a nice *** center so i want it in the best spot possible and i cant put it on top of tv like the old projector tvs and if i mounted it on the wall above the tv i dont think i would be able to get it flush with the tv and would be behind the tv, especially since i like to leave a little room from my tv to the wall so i can get behind it when needed. I am moving into a new place with a bigger living room so i thought maybe since im farther away from the tv with the center under it the sound would spread out towards me better but im not sure on that.. Any ideas?
  13. does anyone know where to get speaker wall mounts for klipsch i checked best buy and all they have is ones that only hold 8 lbs might of even been a 10 lbs one cant remember but if there was a 10 lbs one does anyone think putting a 12 lbs speaker on a 10 lbs mount would be alright?
  14. changed my mind i forgot the r-5650 have a ugly white boarder so its either the rb-61s or maybe rs-42'sdont really wanna go any higher then the 42s
  15. rb-61? or r-5650? What u guys there i should get i have rf-62s right now and im gonna get rc-64 with one of these surrounds
