i have the rw-12 (same thing, for all intensive purposes) and am not sure why i keep thinking about getting rid of it. it moves air and hits deep for movies and blends wonderfully with my rf-5's for music. i still battle with placement, but I have huge room layout and WAF issues with this particular speaker. in spite of that ..it's a top performer. i probably need to hold onto it until i can afford an rt-12d or something similar.

no one seems to have mentioned another great perk of hdmi. sound formats are the bees knees, for sure ..but simplified cable management is a godsend. one cable from each device to the pre/avr ...and one cable to the tv. your components will breath better and the ugliness is reduced (non issue if the cables are already hidden).

answer: should have told me you were selling and saved a lot of hassle. even posting on fredmiranda.com would have given you a great deal of visibility and little amounts of hassle. this is why i buy from ebay, but don't sell.

starting to notice a pattern ..

navigation is a little clunky, but it's better than nothing! I read that sometime next year it will be a software update to the OS, negating the use of a disc.

it's a ups issue, not klipsch. cardboard is not indestructable, but ups drivers are trainable.

still working on the logistics of sealing in the liquid to make that work..stay tuned.

i hadn't looked online for current prices until after i made the post .if i need to add some cash to my offer to make up the difference, i'm willing to do so. (i thought the msrp was close, but they're about $50 different)

noticed some photogs are on here, so figured i would ask .. I have redundancy in the 50-60mm range and want to try out the nikkor 35mm f/1.8G af-s that came out earlier this year. any interest in trading for my 50mm f/1.8D? mine is used, but in LN shape, comes with box, blah blah ...i'm not so concerned about body cosmetics as long as the glass and focusing are good to go.

the plan is to offer speaker wire in carbon or red colors and then interconnects in yellow or red. custom colors will indeed be available, but it may delay construction time since I'll only be keeping the aforementioned in bulk. additionally, if anyone wants to order with specific terminations or cable, i'll happily do those as well ..again it'll just take longer to turn the product around and may cost more, depending on the materials requested.

once i have the final product ready and sent out for reviews, I plan on having a separate post with pics and a space for the reviews. I've been working out design bugs and trying to establish what i want my "style" to be. once feedback/reviews are recieved and any necessary changes are made, I'll be launching the website and opening up shop. the purpose of this post/poll was to see if there's even an interest in the idea. there turns out to be some, so I've been working on productizing my hobby. here's a teaser of what i'm moving towards as I built an interconnect for my portable headphone amp. still not sure if i'm happy with the rca end of things

i have a poor man's zeiss .. voiglander 58/1.4 SLii and love it. i'm itching to pick up the 20/3.5 and 40/2 as well (could have with the money i've spent on a/v gear). i'm a sucker for primes and fast glass...

zeiss 50mm ..drool. original packaging is ideal, but wrapping in bubble wrap to fill the volume of the box should suffice. i've shipped several in this method and haven't had any issues.

i used to have all 3. After RRoD'ing two xbox's I evaluated my usage and realized that i only used it for netflix streaming and to yell and cuss at 12 yr olds who were better than me at halo 3. friends and i used to play all the time online, but it had trailed off over the last year. combined with ps3's OS updates which improved music browsing on external drives and now supporting netflix streaming ..it's a no brainer. most of the games i would play on either system are available on the ps3 anyways. i'm just glad sony is finally starting to fullfill their vision of a total HT platform.

aside from my luddite folks ..who actually uses the tv audio these days??

i thought about getting some of those crappy plywood speakers like lascalla or cornwall or something. figure a couple cans of flat black rustoleum would seal the wood fine. what you think?
