  3. lol hofy, when's your stock gonna hit the market, i'd like to get some before the aquisition is final. J
  4. I have tracking, MUHAHAHAHAHHAH!!!!!!! J
  5. come paragon, come share a box of tissues with me.... and a beer. J
  6. make sure you got the right version. windac will rip and convert on the fly, so check to see that you have all the correct options checked, and you're not ripping to wav format. J
  7. might be alittle while till best buy or compusa dude. best bet is to go online. J
  8. seb, www.headphone.com has the grado sr-80's for $95 and the hd 575's for $99, essentially the same price. I tried the 575's which are supposed to be heavy on the bass, but i found the mid's to be too muddy and not very detailed. i haven't tried the sr-80's, but alot of people seem to like them, however, if you are planning on wearing them for extending periods of time, i cannot stress sennheiser phones enough. the grado's i find are really uncomfortable while the senn's are simply a pleasure to wear. i have the 545's and i find them to be extremely detailed, excellent bass and excellent mid's. as i said, they are discontiued, but www.jandr.com still has them for $99 which, imho, is a steal. the 545's successor, the hd-580's run around $200 but are considered one of the best headphones money can buy within reason. you definetly wanna check out www.headwize.com man, like i said, these guys know EVERYTHING there is to know about headphones. but to answer you're question, if you like good bass and good detail coupled with really good comfortablity, you can't go wrong with the hd 545's. the 575's were equally as comfortable, but just too 'muddy' sounding. hope this helps, email me if you have any questions. J
  9. wierd. try re-installing windvd and check their website for compat. issues. J
  10. for the love of god, if you can afford an svs subwoofer, http://www.svsubwoofers.com get one, they are the best subwoofers i have ever heard in my life. trust me when i tell you, on the eighth day, god created the svs. J
  11. i definetly recommend it paragon. i just bought a pair of sennheiser hd575's and hd545's from www.jandr.com I wanted to demo both, cause i wasn't sure which one i wanted. The 545's are discontinued but you can still find them around, for 100 clams. Everybody on www.headwize.com loves them and so do i, they are fantastic when i play UT. jandr has a 30 money back guarrantee so you can try out whatever phones you want and then ship back the ones you don't wanna keep. J
  12. gluestick, check out the headphone forum @ www.headwize.com Me and gluegun hang out there and you can find every review imaginable on headphones and post whatever questions you have. J
  13. i don't think anybody's got em yet dude. they didn't go on sale till fri, so none of em will probably ship util monday. i didn't even get my tracking yet, so i'll probably get it tommorrow. as for souther cal, i'd say no more than a week with standard shipping. J
  14. hey, you stole my name. bastard. oops, sorry amy. damn thief!
  15. Quote: DVD's? Hmm...The DVD forum? Just post them here, I guess lol
  16. do you have every freakin thing in your dorm hooked up to like 1 or 2 outlets? its probably a power supply problem, cause when you rev the pro's or other stuff on the same outlet/circuit, it'll cause the monitor to flicker. if i rev my microwave, my monitor does a rolling flicker thing. hell, if i rev my electric pencil sharpener, it really goes all to hell. its kinda cool. we always blow the fuses or whatever in our building and trip the breakers. make sure nothing else is on other than comp and speakers, and if possible, put them on different outlets. hope this helps, J
  17. make sure you don't have any conflicts, make sure everything you're running for sound (e.g. winamp) is win2k compliant. re-install the liveware drivers from creative anyway and make sure you dl'ed the 2k ones and not the Me/98 ones by mistake. make sure you don't have any onboard audio f'ing anything up. if all else fails, try www.2cpu.com at their win2k forum. those guys know everything there is to know about win2k and conflicts. J
  18. yes paragon my friend, it is about time. but of course, i try ordering once and it gives me some error message, click back and resubmit, and then on that page it says, if you get an error message, don't resubmit instead call klipsch customer serv., so i'm like wtf. so i said screw it, and resubmitted anyway cause they're not there now and i want to secure my order. second time worked, but who the hell knows, maybe i'll get 2 sets of 4.1's now, he he... Amy, any ideas?
  19. mmmmmmm...pro-media 4.1's....ararrgsgaghhaha (in a homer-esque voice, he he). no, don't have em yet, but my lowly creative fps2000's have met their doom. now where did i put that c4 and box of detonators....
  20. just buy the new 4.1's. they're essentially the same speakers with some modifications. a better cross-over, the cp-1 control pod is implemented, etc. they're at a few select retailers now, i would expect them to be out in force hopefully by the end of the month. you'll be able to buy them here, klipsch.com, and probably outpost.com too. also best buy will probably carry them as well, but who knows for sure. J
  21. they're out!!!!!!! one a few yahoo/excite store sites, 1 to 2 days and they'll have them. let the pandamonium begin, he he he MUHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! J
  22. also dman, don't pump up the volume on winamp itself, that could make everything sound crappy, also make sure you're system volume is down to about %50 or so. then let the pm's volume do the rest. J
