  2. I am looking to ship these speakers and will need to buy the boxes from Klipsch. They do not know the demensions. If you have the boxes for these speakers please give me the demensions, I need to know if UPS will ship them or not. If you want to sell your boxes please let me know also. Carl cvoeb@hotmail.com
  3. 2 pairs of KLF30s (med oak and black) and a KLFC7 (black) Great condition, one pair of the klf30s have some minor scruffs on the bottom. I am only selling because they are really too big for my small HT (13 X 14). Will throw in a pair of monster biwire cable. Price is $1800. Prefer local pick up in Las Vegas but can be shipped... you will need to order the boxes from Klipsch. I still have the box for the C7. Carl cvoeb@hotmail.com
  4. available in Las Vegas. No bids yet. Hurry, the auction is ending today. Ebay item number 1243545082 This message has been edited by CarlV on 04-04-2002 at 04:19 PM
  5. A friend of mine is selling a pair of Lascala, good condition, birch painted black. Price $775. Carl cvoeb@hotmail.com
  6. Update: It was my Peavey CS800 that was causing the hum/static. I recently scored big time on a Hafler XL600 for $200. and guess what no hum. This amp along with my JBL 4638/SVS 16-46 combo rock & rolls big time. I'm afraid I may cause damage to my room. I plan on moving my system downstairs into my family room. I will get some pics up this weekend. Recent upgrades: JBL 4638 SVS 16-46 HK Signature 2000 pre amp Acurus A200X5 Hafler XL600
  7. Update: I've upgraded interconnect and now the hum/static is gone. But now when I connect my SVS 46-16 via y adapter the hum/static comes back. What the ****. It may have something to do with the radio shack 1/4 adapters that I'm using. My new Denon amp will be arriving in a few days, hopefully this will take care of the hum/static. Anyway with both subs connected, my hometheater is downright scary. I'm afraid to turn it up too much in fear of damaging something in the house. I'll update when the new amp arrives.
  8. It came yesterday by cargo truck. This thing is huge and weights around 140lbs. I had to have a friend help me lug it to my hometheater room. I hooked it up alone first, this sub definitely moves air, I could feel the air blowing out of the ports... felt like a fan. I would have to say that this sub is right on par with my SVS 16-46 all they way to 20 hz probably. I didn't take any measurements but this sub rocks. Shook my entire room with the same authority as my SVS. Also this sub is very tight for dual 15" woofers, no distortion at all, pure acurate bass. There's only one problem though, it has a very slight hum... kinda static sounding. Is this normal? I'm currently using a peavey cs800 that I will be replacing with a denon poa-5200. I'm hoping that replacing the amp will cure the hum or I may try to plug it into my moster 2000 conditioner. I will call JBL if I can't get rid of the hum/static. Carl
  9. It's a 2 channel power amp with discrete power supplies to each amp. I have it connected to my newly aquired Denon 4800 receiver. Hopefully it will be enough to power this monster.
  10. Guys, I ordered the 4638 last week and should be receiving it today or tomorrow. I'm pairing it with my SVS 16-46, I think this will be a match made in heaven They will be powered by a Denon POA 5200 amp - about 200 watts into 4 ohms. I will give a review once I have tested the sub. You just can't beat $216. Carl
  11. quote: Originally posted by HornEd: I noticed you have your sub along the wall, have you tried it in the corner by your equipment rack? Yes I now have my SVS along with my M&K MX125 on the right front coner. This just about doubled the bass I was getting with just the SVS truly unbelievable bass in my small room. Mike, before I had the KLF-30 surrounds I had 2 pairs of Heresy's, this setup never felt right to me, they just don't match. If you ever get the chance I recommend you get another pair of KLF-30's... it's a totally different experience. You feel engulfed in the action with the KLF-30 as surrounds...everything will come to life, you will hear things you've never heard coming from the surrounds. Carl
  12. Ray, I also have a KLF-30s setup. I recently tried the Lascalas for about 2 weeks and did not like the sound compared to the KLF-30s. The 30's sound more alive with more clarity. The lascala just sounded muffeled for some reason. I got rid of the lascala. Trust me once you're used to the KLF30 nothing will compare. I recently acquired at a great price, a M&K complete setup with MX-125 sub. I found the mids & highs from the M&K to be brighter. Anyway, I loved the M&K sub so much I've decided to keep it. This subs totally rocks and is down right scary. This message has been edited by CarlV on 01-22-2002 at 05:08 PM

I think the tubes are very deep inside the cabinet. Recent update, I swapped out the 3801 for the 3802. Maybe it a placeblo effect but I really think the 3802 is warmer sounding, much smoother and more powerful. Also I love Prologic 2. Carl
  15. quote: Originally posted by talktoKeith: BTW,what are you using for support on top of your TV for the whopper KLF-C7? Keith Just 2 boards on the ends and one long board on top of the two boards. All painted black. Seems to support the C7 fine. Carl
