  1. I contacted Klipsch customer service and this is the response I got... This response has me worried a bit. These are brand new speakers. Why are modifications required on something brand new in order to function properly? Also, I wonder how these are going to hold up in the future after the rubber inside the mount hardens with age. I'm really thinking about returning the set for something with a little more quality behind them. Can anyone out there talk me out of this? Anyone have similar issues and where you able to fix them in the long term?
  2. Thanks for the tip. I checked out the arch section, and couldn't find anything about how to repair the factory speaker stand. There were a few suggestions (I think one was by you) of different mounts or even building shelves, but I'm not interested in that at all. I just want the speakers mounted as designed. On of the big selling points of these speakers is that they already have the wall mounting hardware with them. If I have to go out and buy something else, that just defeats the purpose of having the mounts included in the kit. Oh well. I'm going to call Klipsch tomorrow and see what they say. If not, I'll just return the set for another. It's a shame, really. The speakers sound great and to have to return the set just because of the mount, well, you think Klipsch would have figured that out. I guess I could just keep exchanging the set until I found a set that actually worked, but what are the odds of getting a set where all the mounts will hold the speakers and for how long will they last before the mount wears out?
  3. Have you tried calling Klipsch to see if there's a real fix for this? I just bought I set, and 1 of mine keeps on dropping. I"m about to return them to the store, but it seams silly to waste an entire set of perfectly good speakers just because of 1 stuipd ball joint. What's the deal with Klipsch sending out all these speakers with a problem?
  4. Hello. I recently bought a set of Klipsch Quintet III speakers. I am mounting them to the wall using the supplied stand. One of the speakers will not stay in place. It slowly falls down until it touches the wall. I've tried tightening the 3 allen screws in the back to try to increase the friction of the ball joint, as well as taking the whole joint apart and cleaning off any derbis or oils, but still one of the speakers still falls. So, before I return the entire speaker set, I was wondering if there is an easy fix for this. I'd hate to go around throwing adhesives into a brand new set of speakers. Thanks in advance!
