  1. My listening position is 20" from the back wall and the surrounds are mounted from the ceiling (9') facing even with the back of the couch.. I 'm not sure that is the best placement. Should I mount them directly on the back wall abiut 7' from floor? Any advice? -fab5
  2. Try name your price on onecall.com that's where I picked up my RF-81's, RC-62, RC-52's last weekend.. -fab5
  3. Onecall offered me the RS52 for $311 shipped.. Time for an upgrade??? -fab5
  4. James, Black all the way around.. I'm really hopping I'm pleased with these babbies. As the wife is running out of patience with all these speakers coming to the house.. -fab5
  5. The above is correct for evening out room responce with multiple subs, However co-location will provide an overall output gain as well.
  6. I was surprised and pleased that they were able to meet my offered price.. Great purchasing experience!! -fab5
  7. Maybe go to the BS-52, as I listened to the 42, the effect was great but just a tad thin, the 52 would surely fix.. Take a look at the recomened systems and see what combo they are set up with.. The BS-81 have the 62 for the center and the 52 for surrounds.. I wondered the same thing - why they weren't all the same.. But as the guys have said.. You want good mains, then the center to match in timbre and then the surrounds.. and the recomended systems show the same reasoning.. -fab5
  8. Hello Youthman, I'm a big fan of "The Last Mimzy".. As impressed with it as I was ET when it first came out.. Very exciting, decent action, good story, great sound.. And best of all everyone can watch it.. Kids may stray as the music in a good theater can get entence, but that's half the fun.. They're out of the room before anything even happens.. Especially with a good sub. :-) Don't know if it's on Blu-Ray, but very good flick for all ages.. I still like to watch it.. I've seen it three times.. -fab5
  9. I'm buying a ref series RB-81 system today minus the sub.. I'm in the process of auditioning speakers and found the 81's 62 & 52' at a killer price online "new".. However they don't have a 30 day trial, only a restocking fee plus shipping if returned.. I tried the RB-61 sytem and liked in the store so I figued I'd like the 81 system even better.. Yet fearful of how they may sound in my actual room.. Any folks out there with the RB-81 that can give me some assurance that this is indeed a good system. Thank you! They will be paired with a Denon 3808CI.. and an SVS PB12+/2(for now).. -fab5
