  1. Hmmm...Interesting. I would check your connections first. Make sure you have your cables secure in the sub and the back of the computer. If that's not it, investigate the wire to make sure you don't have any exposed wire. (IE. wire with the sheathing ripped or pulled back.)
  2. Also, it really can depend on what kind of motherboard you are running as well. Some people have problems with video and continue to think it's the O/S or the video drivers. In most cases it is. However, the motherboard may be the culprit as well. Newer motherboards have been known to cause problems with older video cards. Check your motherboard developer's website for the latest information. http://www.motherboards.org has some great information. Check to make sure your motherboard is up to the latest BIOS revision. If you are running a newer video card such as a ATI Radeon or GeForce card, some of the latest BIOS rev's have added a lot of new hardware feature settings for video cards such as changing the AGP from 1x - 4x or Fast Write capabilities. All of these enhancements can either increase stability or performance. ------------------ LoAdEd (Jeremy Hartmann) ------------------------ Athlon T-Bird 900 Abit KT7 Raid 128MB PC100 Viper V770 32MB TNT2 16.0 GB IBM 5400rpm UDMA33 TDK VeloCD 8x/4x/32x IDE Sound Blaster Live! 3. My suggestion to you is fdisk it and install Win98 SE or Win2K. I am an avid lan-gamer and I was plagued with problems when I went to ME. I spent most of last weekend nuking my drive and reinstalling all my s/w. SB Live Joystick/Output2/Output1/Mic/Line If you aren't running an ATI card, say maybe a TNT2 or GeForce, I would highly recommend downloading nVidia's latest reference drivers (currently v6.50). And reinstall DirectX 8 (http://www.microsoft.com/directx).
  4. I have never actually fully tested my set's limits. I usually can get it to a certain volume and then my upstairs neighbor utilitzes a signal device (Broom of some sort) and pounds on the floor. I consider that decent enough but my volume adjuster has never even come close to the half-way mark on the dial. Guess, I'll never be disappointed, eh? And these days, (don't slap me too hard) I don't even use my system. I have headphones plugged in to play Counter-Strike. Have to have the sound close to my ears to hear movements. ------------------ LoAdEd (Jeremy Hartmann) BSDPN Communications Dude ************************* BSDPN West Portland Oregon Netgaming Web: Email:" TARGET=_blank>www.bsdpn.com Email: loaded@bsdpn.com
  5. (CAPS INTENDED) I HAVE GOTTEN THE INFORMATION I NEEDED FROM IMPALA AND AMY. CONSIDER THIS DISCUSSION CLOSED, NOW. JEREMY HARTMANN
  6. Fawkin-A!! I post once on here and I get ripped by the locals. Stop playing the PMS Avenger and act civilized. I just asked a question. AND I WASN'T LOOKING FOR HANDOUTS!! I was initially disappointed as well as curious after reading the article. Other than that, thanks (I guess) for the information Impala. That's more than Seb gave me. I'm definitely going to buy the preamp for sure. LoAdEd
  7. Bad LoAdEd. Sorry. Didn't read further down the message line. Apparently, Klipsch isn't giving us any kind of response though?? Is this true? It would be nice to hear a yes or no so we can reply with "Yes!!!!" or "Those bastards!" LoAdEd
  8. Hello Klipsch, A recent article at Avault.com is turned me into a spiral of disappointment. I have known about the mid-range problem for some time on my v2.400 system. Reading in this article, I found that you are fixing the problem in the next revision of the system. This is very disappointing in that the faithful customers who practically sold you out of these systems, will not get this upgrade unless we shell out $300 bucks for a whole new system. My system has been rock solid since I've had it and I don't want to shell that kind of cash out for a system I already own. What would I do with the old one?? Is there any chance that your faithful customers can get an upgrade to their existing system? I wouldn't even mind paying a little extra for parts and labor but. Any feedback by you guys on this matter is appreciated. Thank You, Jeremy Hartmann I was a little disappointed as well to here that you put headphone jacks on the main sattelite too but that was fixed as soon as I saw the modular add-on. Thanks guys.
