  1. Between these receivers which would be the best for my setup, In the near future I will be adding some Klipsch outdoor speakers to use on the dec for zone 2. http://us.marantz.com/us/products/pages/productdetails.aspx?CatId=avreceivers&ProductId=SR6005 http://www.harmankardon.com/EN-US/Products/Pages/ProductDetails.aspx?PID=AVR%203650 http://usa.denon.com/us/Product/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?PCatId=AVSolutions%28DenonNA%29&CatId=2011IncommandReceivers%28DenonNA%29&PId=AVR2312CI%28DenonNA%29 http://www.us.onkyo.com/model.cfm?m=TX-NR708&class=Receiver&p=s
  2. It is more for TV (football for me, Dancing w/ the stars for the wife) and movies than for music. And it is for 5.1. almost forgot, is the new receiver gonna make everything sound that much better with the higher watts per channel and updated sound formats? ie watching movies and tv?
  3. do myspeakers have a need for an amp? My question is this...would it be better for me to buy a cheaper receiver and get an amp to get the power? Lets say i was to purchase a 65w per channel receiver with all the new sound formays and get a Crown XTi-4000. would that be too much for my system? I have found that amp for 300 new in the box.
  4. 3D is a maybe, I really dont care all that much about it. As far as how much to spend, under 1,000.
  5. OK, i have a RC52 center, RF62 fronts and rs42 surrounds along with a sub12 sw. My receiver is a hand me down HK AVR330. My receiver does not have any HDMI connections at all, and my tv is a 50" samsung lcd. I cant connect my receiver to my tv because the receiver not being able to connect via hdmi, thus not giving me much adjustability with the on screen osd. Next question is how much power could my speakers handle as i see all the time people pushing more rms than the speaker is rated. And could someone explain to me the whole amp vs, biamping thin. Yes I am a HT noob and it took me a couple years to save for the speakers and just want to get the best out of what I have (speakers), Can anyone reccomend a receiver for my system, as the watts per channel is kind of above me right now, as i am still learning about everything. Thanks all for your help. http://www.amazon.com/Harman-Kardon-AVR330-7-1-Channel-Receiver/dp/B0000D8HRE
  6. i need something that will transfer the signal to the basement from upstairs in the living room being that my directv box, my reciever, and my dvd player is going to be moved on a shelf in the basement directly under the fireplace. IR Repeater= Remote Extender
  7. Over the past year i have purchased the RF-62 surround system from Klipsch. I have a Harmon Kardon Receiver and a sub 12 subwoofer by Klipsch. I have a 50" Samsung LCD Tv that hangs over my mantle. What i need help with is i am about to have all the wiring ran and i would like to put all my components and satellite box on shelves that are in the basement. I already have the tubing ran so i can feed the wires to the television. The wife says that she doesnt want anything else on the mantle or on the tv, so that means no ir repeater system. So my question to all of you in the know is what else are my options?
  8. any input with the 51's vs. 61's?
  9. http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/rb-51-overview/ vs. http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/rb-61-overview/ being that it will be hanging on the wall, will the 51's be affected bc they are rear ported or would I be better off with the 61's?
  10. they are going to be hanging on the wall, so the 52's being rear ported affect the sound?
  11. lets say i used the 42's for the back and a rc52 as center what should i use as the fronts? just use the 42's all around or something diff? i can get the rc-52 for $180 from 6ave.
  12. would some rs-42's be good for back surrounds? or should i stick with the rsx-5?
  13. head unit or receiver
