Yes. I'm only using two of the four grills per cabinet until I repair the grill cloth on the damaged ones. Apparently the previous owner had a herd of cats or possibly a lion that used the belles as a scratching post.

Thanks to everyone that responded. I agree to restore these as faithfully to the originals as possible. Lots of great ideas. I think they will make a perfect companion to my LaScalas

Just acquired a pair of belle klipsch cabinets. 1975 with conservative serial numbers. No speakers or crossovers. I've been pondering and crunching numbers for weeks trying to determine what I'm going to do with these beauties. Buy brand new crites everything ? Convert to altec model 19 clone? Put in radio shack mach 4 or whatever they are? Then it hit me. Buy a used pair of heresy's and put everything in the belles. The woofer 13x3 slot would be modified to match the 12 inch woofer. Have I gone mad or would this super heresy mod be worth the effort.

I've been reading with great interest the crossover and diaphram upgrades available for KG 5.5's and was wondering if the same mod can be applied to the smaller 4.2's.....I have these as the mains in a surround set up....just wondering if it's worth the effort to upgrade these little guys....thanks... My main room consists of 4 cf-3's and 4 heresey's...(.see photo's 200-203 in home theater section)...very pleased with the sound there.....the heresey's were purchased new in 1984 when I was in the military...still got em....they still sound great....
