  1. Sold to a gentleman in Birmingham, AL. Thanks, Jim
  2. C-BR 21T562 and 563. Stained dark walnut, with black grill cloth. Oil filled caps in crossover. K33B woofer, K-55-V midrange and K-77 tweeter They sound great, but getting ready to downsize and need to get rid of something. Asking $800 OBO. Just for the Cornwall's, not the K-Horns or Heresy's in the photo; Pick up in Florida zip 32952, near Cocoa Beach, East of Orlando. May be traveling to northern Alabama labor day weekend, and could deliver or meet along the way. Thanks, Jim
  3. Mike, Thanks for this list, it's a great effort. I found a couple of articles missing: "That Damping Factor", Audio 03/70 "The Mud Factor", Audio 10/70 Also, "How to Get Best Results from a Klipschorn" was published in Hi-Fidelity not FM and Television Thanks, Jim mud_factor.pdf damping_pwk.pdf
  4. This is what it looked like the last time I saw it. It's cool that it's on display now in DC.
  5. I found the whole Crabbe article for the concrete horn. Not likely to happen in the house, but there is that pesky neighbor[:@] Jim 6711crabbe.pdf
  6. Nothing's wrong with your strings. The effect is called aliasing, and you see it most often with car wheels in movies and on TV. The scan rate of the camera is too slow to catch the string frequency, so you get the strobe effect that Bruce mentioned. Nice score by the way, and good use of tools at hand. My son (13) wants to learn to play guitar, so I guess I need to watch the trash. He already plays piano and trumpet. Jim
  7. Don't take this the wrong way, but you suck. Nice score, and pay no attention to me, I'm just jealous. Jim
  8. I had one of these Omega's for about 25 years. I paid about $250 when I bought it, then $500 to get it serviced, then sold it on ebay for $2000. Now i have an Armitron self winding skeleton watch. I tell people it just gives me the time and they don't believe me.
  9. Hey Randy, Was in Huntsville staying with relatives for the white Christmas. Luckily it was gone by the time I needed to drive home. At least it's snow and not ice, I hated ice storms when we lived there. Enjoy the warmth, the tunes and the day off.
  10. So now with your new $24.99 item and a receipt, can you Return/exchange it for what you really wanted that cost more without losing money?
  11. I would agree with the edge banding. Get some extra and start experimenting with different stains until you find a good match. Be careful with the BLO where you need to glue veneer to, so it will stick. Your's look almost exactly like mine, enjoy them.
  12. Amy, I expected to see you singing backup[:S]
  13. Don't know how visible it was elsewhere, but I watched it come out of the high clouds and pass over us just moments before it landed. It is an awsome sight indeed, and it's amazing how much noise it makes for a glider. I will find out how much my wife saw, she was at the landing strip, and got to go out on the runway after the safety guys cleared the area.
