  1. Brown Gold mix. Extreme budget setup, it's an old sharp projector that I got for $150. Screen is painted on, I can always change it later when I get a 1080 projector. Right now it's 1024x768 coming from DB15 on a mac running plex. HDMI is in the walls, just not connected.
  2. Here is the room I built in the basement from bare floors up. RF3s, a/d/s sub, h/k reciever. Budget build, everything including a/v, carpet, seats plus building the room for under $5k. Audio cable hanging on the left will get corrected.
  3. I picked up a pair of White RS speakers. The grills are little dirty around the edges of the speakers. How do I clean the white cloth? I'm worried about them shrinking or messing them up somehow. -JTP
  4. I have a pretty good idea what that stands for [] ETA Thanks "Otis" or "Otto" for making my Decorators.
  5. I just acquired a set of decorators, has the tags but the model and s/n is faded gone. On the top left they are stamped OD and in the middle is the serial number. The are stained dark birch, I think. What does OD stand for, Oiled Dark, Oiled Decorators or ?
  6. That does look interesting, I'm near milwaukee so it would be a little bit too far of a drive to the twin cities. I'm going to look at a few more things including that refurb HK that they were talking about in another thread, it appears that will do what I need too and has the newest audio. I'll give it some thought, that looks like a nice one. -JTP
  7. I appreciate the help on the previous questions I've asked. Here is a real open ended one for you. I'm putting together a system for a HT that I'm building in the basement. The projector I have is only RCA/s-video & VGA, I would like to get the last bit of life out of it because it has a great picture and I have a whole bunch of spares for it. I'll be running RF-3s, RC-3 and a A/D/S/ sub in a 5.1 setup but I don't have a receiver. I know I can get some good deals on used stuff I just don't know what to look for? I was thinking the Pioneer Elite series, what model number should I look for? What else is the best bag for the buck right now regardless of brand. Again, thanks in advance for the advice. -JTP
  8. I have a couple of RF-3s and I'm looking to get the enough of a system to do a proper HT setup. I can pick up a RC-35 new for $140 but it seems to get mixed reviews. I'm not looking for greatness, just a good budget system. Is the RC-35 crap or would it go will with my RF-3s? BTW, First Post, Just got my First set of Klipsch speakers a month ago....I see why thay have a such strong following, these things are excellent. -JTP
