  1. I asked about headphones a while back and was sent to http://www.headwize.com. Good info over there, you should check it out. As for the headphones you are looking at, I don't really know.
  2. Yeah, it's all good. Extra sub isn't worth all that.
  3. I just saw that they are offering the 4.2's at the same price as the 4.1's since there isn't enough supply for the 4.1 demand. I know I should be happy that I already got my 4.1's but I am tempted to see if I can't get 4.2's instead. Is it possible for me to return my 4.1's and then order 4.2's? I ordered straight from Klipsch so I don't know if they would allow that. I got them on 2/27, so I've only had them for a little over a week. So Amy, can I do it? =)
  4. Isn't this the guy that is mad cuz he can't get speakers from the dealers near him?
  5. I have an OEM card, so no manual. If anyone else that has a Live Value can do this, please tell me how. The Creative software doesn't seem to have that option and I don't want to have to get a splitter. As of now, 4 separate channels if fine, I was just wondering if it was possible with the Live Value, like it is with the MX300 (my previous card).
  6. I don't know if this would be better or not... Right now I don't have stands for my back speakers so they sit on top of my hutch above the 2 main speakers. I have a Live Value and can't seem to figure out how to make all 4 of them just act like 2 normal speakers. When I used the Live settings for 2 speakers, only my front 2 came on for the test while the back ones remained silent. I have the front plugged into the front and the rears plugged into the rear jack. Could this be why I don't get rear sound? What do you guys recommend? Should I just keep it at 4 speakers even though my rears are basically front speakers or is there a way to make them all be front speakers. I know when I had a Monster Sound, I was able to set speakers up that way. Perhaps this is just a Creative thing? Thanks.
  7. Darnit, can't test them out fully till tomorrow. I went downstairs to warn them I might be making a bit of noise to be considerate but unfortunately one of the girls is studying for a Physics midterm tomorrow. So looks like I can't blast them till after she leaves. =( From what I have done with the speakers, the sound is awesome. I can't believe I ever lived with suck sucky speakers before.
  8. Hehe, Orange County. No wonder they arrived in 2 days. The delivery man woke me up, but what a wonderful thing to wake up too. I have yet to open the box, but after this post I am tearing into it.
  9. Thanks for all the help. Those guys over at headwize are audio nuts. Never knew that people could get so heated up over different brands of headphones. Yeah I'd buy Grado's or something too, but I need the headphones to be closed so my roommate and his girlfriend can sleep. Plus I want something that is comfortable and it seems that for some people the Grado's can be uncomfortable since they sit on your ears or so. So after reading all those threads, I think I am gonna go with the Sony 7506's. They are supposedly better than the V6's and the price difference is only like 20 bucks or something. I've listened to one of my friend's V600's and they don't sound too bad. The V6's are supposed to sound better than the V600's. Since I am going with the 7506's, they should be even better. In the end, anything will sound better than my cheap plastic headphones that came with my cd player.
  10. DocYahoo: I too am in Orange County. UCI!!! Yeah I also got my tracking number and UPS tracks better. But supposidely they say my speakers will arrive tomorrow... Yeah right, but one can hope.
  11. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on buying good, comfortable, closed headphones. I'd like to spend no more than $100 since I just plunked down 300 for the 4.1s and being the poor college student that I am, I've spent enough. Yeah, I know I should just listen to the speakers, but I have roomates and I like to play games at night and the sound of loud gunfire probably wouldn't be appreciated by them or my neighbors. I am currently using some cheap headphones made by Philips or so that came with a portable CD player. I bought the Sennheiser HD575 from Frys but had to return them cuz they were too loud since the sound leaked out. I've read stuff that the Sony V6 is good and so is the Koss R100. Out of those two, which is better and are there better headphones for the price out there. Thanks.
  12. Also, where are the speakers being shipped from and how long will it take to get to Southern California?
  13. Just wondering if anyone has received their 4.1's yet (those of you who were able to buy early from other online sites).
  14. Since I am new the boards (recently registered but been reading for quite a while), I figured I would pay the proper respects to this thread while I wait for my 4.1.
  15. I've waited long enuf and just bought the 4.1 Friday. Fedex better move fast.
