Up for sale a pair of autotransformers made by Werner Jagusch. These trafos have 14 taps and the steps are 1.5dB. Each transformer weighs 1 kg. (over 2 lbs). Nice upgrade for Klipsch T2A or Crites #3636 or 3654. Asking 175 Euro or $195. Will ship worldwide at cost. I accept Paypal.

It' s not a Tractrix. Maybe Iwata, the designer does not disclose any further information, The side walls are flat, the vertical expansion seems exponential. Nico be carefull; I am still waiting for the adapters I payed, since July 30. Best use Paypal.

Yes it seems he has done it that way. But it's not birch but laminated beech.

I finally got the Heyder horns after 8weeks waiting. Extremely heavy stuff each horn weighs 30kg My first impression is spacious sound but a bit bright with EV 1829 drivers. (compared to Klipsch K400) Link to website of heyder horns: http://www.lm-h.bplaced.net/

1824M is much better than Klipsch K55V. I have two to offer.

A time-aligned top end for the Khorn
Elso Kwak replied to Al Klappenberger's topic in Technical/Restorations
The close proximity of the 2 drivers will give intermodulation effects. Paul Klipsch published a paper about that: A note on Modulation Distortion: Coaxial and spaced Tweeter-Woofer Loudspeaker Systems. To quote: "A loudspeaker radiating high frequencies in close proximity to a loudspeaker radiating low frequencies is observed to be subject to modulation distortion." -

Agree on that. I like the JBL2404s [] -
Klipschorn-Before and after 2001
Elso Kwak replied to Rusen Turkoglu's topic in Technical/Restorations
The drivers are NOT good. I have used EV 1823M and 1834M with much better results on the K400. If one really wants excellent sound get a pair of huge Jabo horns and a set of JBL2482 drivers with phenolic diaphragm. And don't forget to order the autoformers from Werner Jagush too! http://cgi.ebay.nl/Audio-Autotransformer-fur-Altec-Crossover-und-Horner-/220659613027?pt=Lautsprecher_Selbstbau Ofcourse these are no longer Klipschorns as I am using only the bass bin now..... Yet the Jabos mate very well acoustically. (WAF=0 LOL) -
It's probably the EV 1823M driver. It can't go lower than 400Hz.
-
One needs to get the autoformers too from Mr Werner Jagusch. His autoformers weighing 1 kg are an order of magnitude better than the Klipsch T2A.
-
The Jabo horns are indeed awesome. I am thrilled. More later.
-
I miss the latest without autoformer for the Klipschorn Heritage.

If the Community M200 is so good because of the low compression ratio I decided to remove the phase plugs from my EV 1823Ms. A lot more pleasent to my ears still using old K400 horns. But I am already sold to the Jabos I am afraid.

It are Clarity caps APW

Thanks John. Nice you are still using the Kwak-Clock. That firm only has the PC25 adapter for 1.5" horns. The Jabos are 2" throat opening
