  1. I get what you mean.......I really don't run a NAS ....Got a server in the basement....run a couple of SansDigital 4 bangers. Then I have a couple Intel NUC's ...one for each system. I run my movies through either JRiver or Kodi.....all my music runs through JRiver.....Most of my music streaming is through Amazon prime plus...through the NUC's. Got the NUC's on sale....works for me anyway. George
  2. +1 to that........I do like the Palladiums.......but my vote goes to the DIY Belle's.....they are beautiful. George
  3. Nice find....they should clean up rather nicely. George
  4. I have both an Integra DHC 80.3 and an Anthem AVM 60......The Anthem is my main pre pro....but for that price go with the Integra....you will love it. George
  5. rivercat, I'd like to see them when they are finished..... Have fun with the project......please I'm not saying you did the wrong thing......I have rebuilt and refreshed a lot of Klipsch speakers....reference series just suck to do. You can't send the drivers out to be re coned or re cone them yourself ...they have to be purchased....the veneers suck to re do ....vinyl is a easier to re wrap.... but when you get done ....its still vinyl..... This sounds like a something you are excited about doing......Finish them George
  6. +1....don't think I would have taken on this project. George

  9. I have had a lot of different amps......the ones I decided to keep. Adcom/McIntosh/Sansui/...and for now Sunfire....all solid state I consider my Adcoms to be workhorses.......nothing fancy like my Mac....but still keepers. There is nothing wrong with not liking them.......just a matter of preference George
  10. Just what I was thinking.......each one needs to move .062 inches farther apart....... sure COME ON😝 It's a system to die for George

    What I Got Today!

Yea.... A guy I use to work with...known as JBL Paul......has a soft spot for Thorens.......I think he has 4 or 5 TD 160/166/125.....I really respect his opinion... I figured I'd give one a try....been looking for while...saw the condition ...saw the cartridge ...couldn't get the money out of my pocket fast enough. After doing the anti HUM rewiring....It's a keeper....Going to add it to my Sansui system George

  18. Hey.....I had a Betamax....so that makes 3 of us.... I have all the capabilities to do Atmos......just never brought myself to cut holes in my ceiling......So I continue to run 7.1 George
  19. Risers are quick fun part of a restore job....Done quite a few....The only difficult part is if you need to make a new section ....or if one of the plastic corner braces is missing.. You can use plastic wood putty to repair any major damage....Staining to match is the difficult part....(wood putty really doesn't take stain too well)...If you are really into it ...you could always order adhesive backed veneer from Rockler wood working supply....cut it into strips and reface the risers. The risers on this set of Chorus II's have been filled and then rec covered with pressure sensitive adhesive backed walnut veneer....then re-stained with Minwax (gunstock color) stain to match oiled walnut finish. Or you could paint them black George
