  1. Hey.....I had a Betamax....so that makes 3 of us.... I have all the capabilities to do Atmos......just never brought myself to cut holes in my ceiling......So I continue to run 7.1 George
  2. Risers are quick fun part of a restore job....Done quite a few....The only difficult part is if you need to make a new section ....or if one of the plastic corner braces is missing.. You can use plastic wood putty to repair any major damage....Staining to match is the difficult part....(wood putty really doesn't take stain too well)...If you are really into it ...you could always order adhesive backed veneer from Rockler wood working supply....cut it into strips and reface the risers. The risers on this set of Chorus II's have been filled and then rec covered with pressure sensitive adhesive backed walnut veneer....then re-stained with Minwax (gunstock color) stain to match oiled walnut finish. Or you could paint them black George

    15 Heresy 32 KG 5.5 George
  6. You did well....enjoy.... KG 5.5's were one of my favorites from my younger days.....and you are correct they were great up to a point .....until they blew all the stuff off the coffee table...they were the first set of large tower speakers I bought .....sold them to get into reference series for a while Enjoy the Heresy's George,
  7. Switch..... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Beresford-TC-7220-MKIII-Dual-Amplifier-Speaker-Selector-Switch-Audio-Router/223020247933?hash=item33ed0aeb7d:g:624AAOSwqLpa6D7h or https://www.ebay.com/itm/TC-7220-2-Way-Amp-Amplifier-Speaker-Selector-Switch-Switcher-Splitter-Combiner/401534790306?hash=item5d7d56aaa2:g:OOoAAOSwyW5a-24w or https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Two-Amplifiers-Receivers-to-1-Pair-Speakers-Selector-Switch-Switcher-Combiner/392064887505?_trkparms=aid%3D444000%26algo%3DSOI.DEFAULT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D52475%26meid%3D9dd66b9492724e3f9a51a26197ade7d1%26pid%3D100752%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D401534790306%26itm%3D392064887505&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982 A friend uses the one from Monoprice. George
  8. Wow, I thought it was a great deal.......you got to give it time.....some of us need to sell some of our S..t....in order to buy your S..t.... I thought about it the other day....to sell both my Sansui sets to buy something more modern......You are selling a great setup....keep it out there and keep your options open George,
  9. Michael I'm glad you like the Integra....I still have my 80.3....I like it but.... because of all the issues with Onkyo/Integra I had to move on to the Anthem..... Don't get me wrong Integra does stand behind everything they sell....getting the HDMI boards replaced on both my 80.3 and my 40.1 was as painless as it could possibly be....only took 3 days for each. I thought Integra was better than the Denon I had before it.....even though there was a change in technology....The AVR 3805...never did like it.....gave it away Enjoy, George
  10. I have had a AVM 60 for quite a while......Love it.....Came from a Integra 80.3...The Anthem is probably one of my best purchases ever. Don't get me wrong if you want a bunch a different sound formats ....like concert hall and all that....which my 80.3 had (never used it).....If you want to calibrate multiple subs separate.......look else where..... I like having 4 different profiles....that I can switch from one to another. If you plan on using it for both movies and 2 channel....it the one to have The Anthem also DOES NOT do any video processing.....It's all about the sound...In that system ...I run Chorus II's fronts... Academy center... Quartets sides... and Forte II's for my rears ....my sub is a PSA V1800. My second choice would be the Emotive.....I did hear the Emotive at Axpona this year....I was impressed George
  11. I always wanted to try a set of Deans networks.... I have one set that I replaced the originals with Bobs crossovers....I think I did those in 2011....My second set I replaced the caps with one of Bob's upgrade kits a couple years ago...I did go to titanium tweeter diaphragms on both....both have stock mid range diaphragms...Love them both...Don't get me wrong.... I do go to a lot of audio demo's and have heard speakers that do sound as good if not better....but most of the time it's for 10's of thousands of dollars...It amazing how something so old can still to me sound so good. But then again.....that's why we hang out here George
  12. + 1 to that....I have about $ 1800.00 in the 2 pair of Chorus II's I have...To get into a pair of Forte III's would cost close to double that...I was already to pull the trigger... Just couldn't say good bye to the Chorus II's George
  13. That was a good ....Chuckle......not quite a belly laugh ....but close..... George
  14. I'd probably buy them from Bob....or second choice would be Simply Speakers...... George,
  15. I did see them this evening.....Klf 20's caught my eye......They are about $100.00 over my limit.......Don't need Chorus II's ....got enough of those. I wonder if the 20's are like a 3 way KG 5.5....Just thinking..... George
