  2. Still looking forward to it.......Most likely going to Axpona on the 13th. George
  3. I just got my new anti vibration pads yesterday.....Wow ....the sound seems to just float around the room..... and they smell rubbery. Still learning to adjust them..........................................HA HA George
  4. jimjimbo, Thanks......just bought box of 36... George.
  5. Went to listen to these the other day Magico M6....a total of $84K $75K for the speakers...$9K for the feet.... Walked out of there thinking WTF.....What makes ANY speaker cost this much. They did sound nice...... Sure I paid $750.00 for a pair of Chorus II's....(my expensive pair)......the M6's did not sound 100 X better. George
  6. Yes....I would say you are over stocked.....Been there...don't think I hit 33....But I do remember having 4 pair in the basement with plastic garbage bags slid over them. Some times you need to thin the herd. George
  7. Soupy... First..... I am not a KLF owner.... I always thought toe in was...Center line of speaker should be angled directly at sweet spot....or center seating position......If center seating position is farther away toe in is less than if it was closer..... One other thing......you have a beautiful room George
  8. Trying to figure out where this is going......Not....going ....anywhere.... Stealth marketing......If you are are online.....someone is trying to sell you something George
  9. I would say ...RF-3 RC-3 RS-3 Photo's would help George
  10. Some how some way.....you will be rewarded....generosity toward anyone is what the best things in life are all about. George
  11. Watched it last night...I had no idea he was that F...ed up....Seems to me he didn't have a solid foundation (family)...when growing up...really glad he came through it. I did listen to Unplugged this morning George
  12. Do you think this change is a result of the new driver...or placement deeper in horn neck and deeper in cabinet. Just thought I'd ask. George
  13. interesting................... George
  14. I can say I own both Quartet and Chorus II's......I love my Quartets with Bob's upgrades...... But if I had a choice between the 2......Got the be Chorus II's...... To be completely honest.....a buddy and myself have been going around and auditioning speakers....Elac Adanta / GoldenEar Triton1's / Focal Aria 948 / Paradigm Persona 3F After hearing all these different very expensive speakers......Chorus II's still hold their own.......Focal Aria's came close...... George,
  15. I have user PSA veneer to repair speaker tops...They actually came out pretty nice. I have done this on a pair of Quartets. I also use PSA on all the risers I have redone Not sure about doing an entire speaker. I ordered what I needed from Rockler. George
  16. I personally DO NOT like the way Forte's or Forte II's sound with both midrange and tweeter changed to titanium. I kind of learned this after one of my earlier rebuilds when I did both. Use a stock diaphragm for the midrange and use titanium for tweeter only....best bet. George
  17. Best thing I found is.....if you used walnut veneer on subs......Minwax Gunstock stain then 1 coat of watco rejuvenating oil....It matches Klipsch oiled walnut perfectly. Done it about 3 or 4 times....... Orange.....maybe colonial maple? George
  18. I must say....you sure a good sport....... George
  19. You know what they say about things that sound to good to be true....I hope it works out for you. George,
  20. Nice find......great price...I like the shingles on the chimney. George,
  21. There is also a lot of BS involved........The $400.00 cables. I walked out of high end store the other day ...thinking WTF ...I could afford the cables....we demoed a PrimaLuna Tube integrated. Of course we listened to a pair of Sonas Faber towers ....$10,000.....my Chorus II's blew them away. George
  22. Best is Cornwall....if you have the room. There is one that is a real gem of a speaker..... Quartets.....$580 is about a hundred bucks on the high side...... I think in the last couple years I have refreshed about 2 or 3 pair of these. Always to sell them off... I liked them so much....I really searched out a pair for myself.....they are like a Fort'e...in a smaller package....If the crossover are done correctly and the tweeters are changed to Bob's titanium...they really sound nice . I have had a couple of people say they are a little in the short side.....Normally you should have the midrange horn at ear lever when seated...... George
  23. vasubandu, The CF-4 is like the holy grail of speakers. I've been waiting to see a set of those come up for sale since 2011 You see lots of 2's a few 3's.....I saw a set about 7 years ago.....was picking up a set of Chorus II's...He had a set of CF-4's for sale at the same time. I had my wife with me.....She gave me one of those "Don't even think about it looks"....thought about buying both pair. I decided after to seriously pursue a pair......Still haven't found them....2's....3's....but never 4's. Good luck....... George
