  1. Good recommendation for those who like to listen to the genre that PWK recorded here. I have Volume 2 in DSD format. I have not been able to find Volume 2 in DSD though. Wb
  2. Depends on what your definition of big block is. The 389CI of the 60’s begat the 400CI engine The 428 begat the 455 engine. From memory, as it’s been years since I bracket raced an old Trans Am: The internals are different between the above four engines but externally they are all the same size. They also made a 326 and a unusual OHC six in the 1960’s. I modified a 4 bolt main forged steel crank 455 by over boring it forty thousands of an inch and topped with small cc’ 400 heads. Easily put out more torque than any stock performance 1970 Olds or Buick 455 and needed 100/120 leaded fuel to run. Wb
  3. My old Corvette (owned when I was a GM guy) had that high speed idle that big-block Pontiac and Oldsmobile fortunately never did. Plus the small block never had enough torque for me. It’s torque that gets you to speed quickly and HP that keeps you there. I only ever owned one Ford and it was a pain in the rear. Bought a Honda a few years ago with paddle shifters that both my wife and eldest daughter (who has it now) refuse to ever use. I still like to row through gears and step on a clutch especially on a winding mountainous road with little to no traffic. I must admit the new Mustangs look good spec-wise on paper. Wb
  4. And no manual transmission??? see: https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2019/10/29/secrets-of-the-2020-shelby-gt500-revealed?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Daily_News_Wenesday_Oct_30 Perhaps the 350 is a better choice? No affiliation!! Wb
  5. Get out you’re straw broom and give them a good whacking; It’s a Canadian tradition. With Halloween they’re should be lots available. 🏒 also a good option🌧. Wb
  6. I’ve had the Vietnamese version many times with rice paper vermicelli and shrimp rolls. Very tasty 👍. Wb
  7. I believe the winds prevail out of the west. Not looking forward to wood and structure smoke. Wb
  8. Threads that don’t occasionally go off track are too mundane away. Wb
  9. Low profile and ratter ability, and style. Mine was a long-hair before long-hair was in. Wb
  10. Damn hot at 73 degrees F. Like a summer day if only the sun didn’t go down at 5:00PM. Wb
  11. Ollie guarding his kennel from his niece: Wb
  12. Here you go. Halfway there: Wb
  13. Hey, if that offer is open to all, I’ll send you a slab and ship in exchange for you shipping me an signed and notarized insurance policy that pays me when you eat it and keel over; eventually tumbling below grass level. That slab will be walking out of the package on its own by the time it arrives from the desert. Wb
  14. My late father, the second son of a classically trained Swiss Chef, could kind his way around the kitchen like a black cat in a coal mine at midnight on a moonless night (i.e. not all). He relied on my mother to feed him just like a dog or cat. All of that worked great for him until mom got sick. At that point the quality of his diet went from gourmet to the Kentucky Colonels, restaurants and pizza. He could grill a steak and cook a hot dog and make breakfast of oatmeal and toast. Never attempted much beyond that. Wb
  15. You've got to move the chicken sandwiches up to the top, along with that crap call 'cheese'. One inproperly cooked can kill you, or make you wish you were already dead. The other is just plain gross! ☠️💩 The originators of Chedder Cheese, must spin in their English graves, every time someone asks "Do you want 'cheese' with that?" If you say 'yes' it won't be real cheese they'll slap on 99.9% of the time. Wb
  16. The biggest A$$ Kisser's of the year. Helps to make a movie no one wants to watch too. Wb
  17. I stay away from fast food and especially so the inventor of the 1/2 pound hamburger patty. To me it will ever been known as 'Death in the Box' and that's if you're lucky. ☠️ The real unlucky people who partook in those burgers most of time wish that eating it had killed all of them and not just their kidneys. Wb
  18. The Guess Who's Share the Land was first album I received as a gift. The Beatles Abbey Road was the first of many that I bought. Lot's of Grand Funk Railroad after that. Still have all the vinyl here. I remember lot's of other memberable other firsts too, c/w music usually playing in the background. Wb
  19. Ringo Starr's singing 'Your Sixteen'. He may be a drum playing ex-beatle but he's in need of singing lessons or having no live mike in studio for vocals. Wb
  20. With all dogs I think it comes down to selective breeding, instinct and how their were raised and trained. More people get themselves bit by fearful little lap dogs than large dogs that are under proper control and have a good disposition. Like most mammals, dogs can sense fear in the people around them and sometimes react to that perceived fear. My spouse fears horses and Canada Geese. Result: She can't ride a horse and gets chased by geese everytime we encounter them. If I want to she her running I just take her to a park with a water source like a pond or river. As soon as she gets (unknowingly) close enough the chase begins. Wb
  21. My policy: I change it out as soon as I can as soon as possible after she figures out the existing system. That means today, when I get a free minute. Wb
  22. Usually 'sent to the farm' is the response around here where every dog in entitled to one bite (nip, not a ripping or blood drawing chomping). That said, my childhood dog (Hairy Dashund) was extremely territorial about his food. Even gowled at me once for touching it after putting it down. I put it down to the wolf in him and instinct and never did that again. Wb
  23. Start with something easy like a new or replaced filling. Work up from there. You'll be surprised how easily you get used to it. No risk of developing Bell's Palsy, some other Palsy or hours drooling like a nitwit at work with a half frozen face. The worse thing I recall was having some gum cut out to get at a tooth root with a hot electrical wire a few years ago. The smell was something else. Today Dentists use lasers for that. Dry socket and an infection with a wisedom tooth extraction at the same time was no fun. But it is only the infection that can actually kill you (ala King Tut). Wb
  24. I guess that if you've got enough cash you can buy it all up and change it to be PC to you're standards... or hide it. Replace everything with 'Give them bread and circuses'! Reminds me of what Billy Holiday sang about 60 years ago. It applies today: Wb
