  2. well we got an old Yamaha Natural sound 2 channel reciever. Realy nice.... I dont know how much power it puts out, we think around 100 watt per channel, but we're realy not sure.......... Well my question is, can I hook up 3 pairs of speakers to it. One on A switch ( Klipsch Heresys ), Two on B switch ( Pair of Fishers and KLH's for noise factor ) ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias

  4. lol Pro's do beat out any B(l)OSE setup i've heard. Even all those Mini Home Theater setups at Best buy....... eewww. The cone material and the surround material is better on the Logitecs than on the Pros. Stiffer cones, and rubber surrounds instead of foam. lol, sorry about the last message guys, I was up late, tired and disgruntled. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias
  5. It looks to me... like our Heresys have two places to hook wires up to on the back. And only one is being used ATM, and they are joined by a piece of metal. ARe they??? if so I will be bi wiring them ASAP. And what would be the best way if they are? I have a A and B switch on the amp, the B set isnt being used. So I could use the A and B outputs both Left outputs to the left speaker, and both Right outputs to the right speaker. or should I put two wires in the same output? We are using Big wire though, ZIP wire. so not sure if we could fit 2 in one output. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  6. you poor poor people.. i'm so soory for yall. Especialy the guy who got the jacked up pair of Pros that plays mids through his tweeter....... The Ear is right Pros = High end audio? NO Pros = Great speakers? NO Pros are missing mid range... any fool with half an ear can/should be able to clearly hear that when comparing it to another high end computer speaker. I use to think my pros were great..... I still do. but.... I am trying to get rid of them. I want a real setup, something with actual... sound... I need MIDS!!! not out of place highs, and boomy lows.. thats why I am going to be hopefuly getting a pair of Paradigm Titans and a 200 watt amp. Better/more mids, cleaner highs, and cleaner clearer bass.. just alittle less. although they will be in corners and both have 6.5" drivers..... I cant wait to hear these Logitecs they look very imprssive. I wouldnt be suprised if I prefured the over the Promedias. They are built better, they used better materials, and i think probobly put more work into them. Well, I nkow most of you realy dont care about sound, but let those of us that do, tell you. Pros are NOT high end speakers!! Not even close. High End (to an extent of...... I LOVE THEM) is whats in our living room. Klipsch Heresys V1.0 and a old CLEAN Yamaha Natural Sound 2 channal amp. Its hard to get lounder, and hear more out of a song with 2 speaker, with out geting higher up in the heritage line, or using more than 2 speakers an amps from another manufacturer. But some would argue with me on that. Yes, Horns are bright, thats why I am not a fan of the RF series. BUT when you have Mid and High horns, you get a flatter response. well, i have ranted enough. good bye. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  7. The KLH's are 9912 model # 3 way, 12 " woofer, a 4 inch mid.. maby a 5.25 and a 7/8 inch tweeter. The Technics are SB-LX70K model # 3 way, 12" woofer.. 4 inch midrange and a 2 9/16 tweeter. The Technics The KLH's The reason I am asking, is because I am unhappy with the sound from my Pro Medias, not loud enough, not enough boom.. quality.. could be alot better.. but I cant afford quality and boom. I was going to sell my Pro Medias and my MixMan DM2 to my friend for 300$ Then with that 300$ buy a Reciever for 100$, and 1 or 2 pairs of the speakers I mentioned above. I would like but I dont have enough money for... Paradigm Titans and a sub.. That would give me quality and boom. But not sure if it would give the same ammount of boom, or if it owuld be loud enough... Titans are some damn impressive speakers especialy for 200$ but they just... they are small. Well, if you have heard these please tell me your opinion on them.. I am going to try and convince the guys at Best Buy to let me bring in some music and test out the KLH speakers. And do the same at Circut city for the Technics. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  8. lol, you got that right Boa. I would love one of these subs, but...... not gunna happen any time soon. Hey Ear, dont you get some major standing waves??? I had once thought about putting SVS Ultras in everycorner of a 20-40 foot room. but people said that wouldnt be good. Ohh, and there was a couple Velodyne 15's in the equation to. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds

  11. lol I am running one of them right now I have my computer Main vol at 75% and winamp at 80% I have my Promedias amost all the way up. I have to turn the sub controls all the way down, so not to hear anything weird. It is some insane *** bass. The ammount of air pushed out of that little port is INSANE!!! EVERYONE get on Morphous www.musiccity.com and search under audio, for IASCA Get the song called Do you like the Pressure its awesome Just DO NOT!! I repeat DO NOT!! turn your subwoofer up! ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  12. Please..... please dont go B(l)ose Look into Klipsch or Paradigm. They will be your best bets for quality products at a good price. www.paradigm.com I personaly am looking into a 2 Channel setup (with my Pro Medias) Either paradigm Monitor 5's or RF-3's. They are about the same... but the Monitors cost less. If I had the money I would deffeniatly go RF-3's If I cant go that high Paradigm Titans for about 240, or Atoms for 180, or Klipsch SB-1 or 2's With a higher end, but not real expensive 2 channel amp. Hope that gives you some ideas. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  13. D*mn it! theres someone younger than me Hello DelDelacroix. That 100 watts is plenty. You wont need any more than that. You will be happy with your set up. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  14. You will most deffeniatly be happy with your new speakers. I have had mine almost a year now... Have been with out them for about 4 months, because I let my dad use them... because I broke his stereo. but I finaly got them back yesterday. I AM SOO HAPPY!!! I missed these little things sooo much. I love my Klipsch speakers. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  15. Here are the two recievers I am looking at getting to power my fishers, and later possibly a pair of Paradigm Titans also. http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=11000010&m=1&cat=3&scat=4 http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=11009541&m=1&cat=3&scat=4 I like the looks of the Aiwa more, and the fact that it has a A and B switch. but I like the fact that the KLH cost 40$ less.... Will the Aiwa be worth the extra 40$? ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  16. I am playing some IASCA songs that they use to test cars, for SPL One is just a cycles test, 360 cycles down to 10 cycles.. Well around 70 cycles or so..... It starts getting extreme..... sounds like the sub is gasping for air, and it blows out major air. Not sure if it will hurt it or not... but I would like to know. I got it set on the little white dot BTW. These test and songs are ment for cars, with Multiple 10- 15 inch woofers, running 100-1000+ watts. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  17. RB-3 POWER HANDLING: 100 watts maximum continuous (400 watts peak) You can put up to 100 watts into the RB-3's with out hurting them. Any thing over is pushing it. 400 is where it will want to...... do bad things. As long as you use a good clean amp, you could push 150 - 200 watts. But who the hell needs that much power for a pair of Klipsch? What are you running them with at the moment? ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  18. I personaly like McIntosh....... They are nice sounding.. 19. Any of you remember when I broke my dads Kenwood reciever, and gave him my Pro Medias so would have something to listen to?? well I FINALY GET THEM BACK TOMARROW!!!! I am sooo happy right now I am running my big fishers, with a old Bose reciever, ONLY the Left channel works, so I have both speakers wired through there and Mono on...... it sucks. But I get my pro's back!!! Yipeee!! ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
  20. Thats awesome Congrats on your great setup. I have been considering getting a pair of RB-3's possibly if I get a job soon. RB-3's maby RB-5's depends on the money Possibly the RF-3's either, www.sounddistributors.com or www.acousticsounddesign.com has them for 650$ hhmmm.... finaly I will have money to buy a system. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds

  23. Yeah.... I have decided that, that is what I will be doing. I guess...... I will straight up save, for the system I want. instead of a system that I want, but isnt as good as I want..... if that makes sense. Do you think I could win some Quality + DB competitions with the following system? Deck - Alpine 1,000$ Dead Head 3 pre out 4v ( I believe... could be wrong) Front Speakers: 2 Pair of MB Quart 3 Piece Front AMps: 2x JL 300/2 AMP Rear Speakers: 1 Pair of MB Quart 5.25 Seperate componants Rear Amps: One JL 300/2 Subs: 4 JL W0 10" 1 JL W6 10" Sub Amps: 4 JL 250/1 for the 4 W0 10's 1 JL 500/1 for the W6 10" Then Some kind of EQ to give me that extra control... Thats about a 4,000 - 5,000 $ system. i'd start with the deck, then a amp, then speakers, then another amp, then another set of speakers, then another amp, then 2 subs, then another amp, then 2 more subs, then another amp, then another sub, then another amp and then another set of speakers ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds This message has been edited by DwK on 09-06-2001 at 11:26 PM
  24. I want to compete!, I want my car sponsered!! I want everything paid for by the company I am showing off, and winning for. I have already sent Orion and MB Quart emails asking them about the possibility of being sponserd. but... Do you any of you know anything about this? I am fairly new to this part. Do you any of you know how to get sponserd, or what will need to be done, have any of you ever competed and been sponsered? I was told that in return for them paying for your vehicle basicaly and everything else on your trips... You have to compete in competitions and show off at shows. This I can do, The guy that was telling me about this said that one of the people he worked with (at cartoyz) did 13 shows in one year. I could do that. ------------------ Living Room: Yamaha Natural Sound A-500 Stereo Amplifier 2 Klipsch Heresys on A switch 2 Fisher STV-873 on B switch My Room: Klipsch Pro Medias 2 Fisher Surrounds
