  1. I am not, but my understanding is Pioneer will be done making their Plasmas, panasonic hired a bunch of their workers, and they are cutting production of them everywhere, by the way, how much does one go for (apx 55 inch or in taht range)?
  2. Yes, i agree it is a great tv, but it is no longer being sold, they stoped production, also, if you are looking for black levels only, possibly it still is, the new Samsung has LED Back lighting and local dimming putting out 7000000:1, so black levels are nice, but i am looking for the full range, i know plasma owners are very strong in the feelings, and possibly for just reasons, i am just looking for an all around good tv, price really isnt an issue, that is still for sale
  3. Thanks for the info, yes, i am looking for the 5.1 set fro music and movies
  4. Wow thanks for the advice on that, yea, i have been savings for some time, and doing as much research as possible, and i want to make the right decision, but i am finding it hard to find an equal cost vs value with some items, i will look into what you suggested, it was a big help, yes movies and music, i am getting the surround set
  5. Thanks for the great feedback one and all, about the RF-83, a un-audio related question, i know the debate between plasma and LCD has raged on for years, weather its the back levels, gaming, contrast etc, we have all read about it, but the new Samsung UN55B8500 just released has the back lit display, 2ms response time, 7mil to one contrast ratio, compare that to any plasma, not considering price, is there anything out there, plasma, lcd etc that can compare?
  6. Hi one and all! I am a new "Audiophile" in training and i need some help. In the next few months I will be buying the RF-83 system (the complete home theater set) But I need the right gear to run these puppies, my eye has been on the Rotel series 15 pre amp and amp (the one that puts out 250 watts per channel), I hear good things about them, I was just wondering, since still trying to learn, and there seems to be some very smart audiophiles here, if anyone could give me some advice and tips, on what type of gear would best bring this system to its full awesome Klipsch potential. Thanks
