  1. I own the Outlaw 950 pre-amp and the Outlaw 7100 amp and used it since November (previously owned a denon 3801) and I am very pleased. The build quality is top notch, the equipment manuals are well written (clear illustrations and instructions, for example, they provide a very good write up about calibrating speaker levels using a sound meter), you have triple crossover adjustments (front, center, surrounds), plays clean with no distortion, and provides more than adequate power. In many ways, the Outlaw equipment reminds me of NAD products. I once had a NAD pre-amp and a NAD 2 channel amp. Both Outlaw an NAD have the same philosophies : no special gimmicks or features you don't need, but outstanding audio reproduction. Play my system at -20db volume setting and it is thunderous, not even close to using the full 100 watts for each channel (the 7100 is a 7 channel amp). My system: 1 pair sf-1 1 sc-1 2 pair ss-1 1 ksw-12 sub monster cable Outlaw 950-pre Outlaw 7100 amp Toshiba 42 HD Rear projection TV Panasonic dvd-rp82 progressive scan Outlaw interconnect cables Dish Network satelite receiver Pioneer cd recorder
  2. I presently own the Outlaw 950 pre-amp and the Outlaw 7100 amp. Lots of BANG for the buck. Previously used a Denon 3801 integrated receiver. I can tweak the Outlaw more (you can select cross-overs for 3 groups of speakers: front, center, and surrounds), the Outlaw 950 offers more complete surround processing, and the amp really plays clean. Present system: sf-1 fronts sc-1 ss-1 2 pair 1 ksw-12 Outlaw 950 preamp Outlaw 7100 amp Toshiba 42 inch hdtv panasonic dvd rp82 pioneer cd recorder dish tv satelitte receiver
  3. hey folks, I have a pair of birch Heresys for sale. The speakers were purchased in Germany during the early 80s, but still look good and still sound sweet!!! The pair can be had for a mere $300. I live in the Atlanta area and can be reached via email at RKLEIN9985@aol.com or call me @770-210-7861 (work) or 770-228-5284. This message has been edited by rklein on 10-20-2001 at 11:34 AM
  4. I have a pair of Heresys and would like to use them in a home theater setup. Which Klipsch speakers would match best for center and surrounds?
  5. I am thinking of buying the Klipsch Micro Quintet speaker system however the A/V receiver that they will go to calls for an additional rear surround speaker. Can anyone recommend another compatible speaker which would go with the Quintet? The receiver is the Outlaw 1050.
