  1. Ive built a few CS-1 over the last few years. I really love the Selenuim H2525 horn, but trying a new formula sounded fun.

Dave had put alot of research in the AK Ewaves... I bought a set from him outright a year ago. (My wife loved the smaller size and plan jane looks.

He had let me see the progress of his DIY kit for Ewave cabs, Making them keyed and using t-nuts. That said... this cabs are just pretty.... The came together cleanly and felt solid. The Woofer could be front or rear mounted, the rear panel was removable and bolted together with bolt and t-nuts. Even the board for the crossover was removable. Ive been slowly working on these for the past 6 months. Between my 17mo daughter, 2 jobs and a daily 200mi commute.. .time is not my friend. I built the crossovers 1st and put them off to the side, then cab the cabs and finishing. I played them last night, and they sounded great!.

  2. The rack was made for ~$45 with parts sourced from Lowes... just some all threat, nuts and bolts.

I got to really listen to the speaker today... sounds wonderful, really on par with my reference... the split concornscala with ALK APT12-500 and ES-5600/ Dave's horns. I must say that they are Fuc*ing incredible. The plan was to build these and help find them a home... The 2 ways are what I planed to keep. That said, I'd keep these... I high bar!

  3. The Bins are stained to match my 2way Top hat but here she is...

I did a sold 4 hour push to get done... The revised motorboard was a 32nd off and so I had to reroute the hole to match the template.

At 3 am I was adding the last srew to the 2nd bass bin and pushed the srew into the surround. $125 later 1 on comming to me from parts express... now Ill repair later and have a spair.

  4. Sorry again everyone for the delays... I have been finish an amp project (3 amps to start selling on my site when ready) and have been sanding horns. I have 4 of Dave's kits.

1 pair to go with his incredible tweeter for a 3 way and 1 set for my 2 way... Im so not one for paint, but multiple coats and a willing ness to sand helps. Ill post a pic later tonight.

  5. Sorry for the lack of extra pics. I will take some tomorrow night.

I have Eliptrac horns form Dave... need sanding and Ive ordered 6 pairs of binding posts.

After that it make be a minute before finished... Need to purchase Eminence 15C woofers or Bob's, pair of Apt-12-600 crossovers and 2 B&C drivers.

I want the promise of the large JBL studio monitors with the more relaxed sound of Klipsch. Having heard this combo before I can tell you its both engaging and very hard tp beat for less than 5K and the efficiency allows use of flea watt amps.

  6. I waited 2 years to use. These are Single cab Cornscala motor boards.... 25.5" wide x 35.5" tall. The hieght cab be adjusted down by 4". Lots of variations to get the 6cu ft to 6.5cu ft. I build this cab previously and the bass far exceeded the corns walls I had on side. These are 3/4 birch ply. Hole is cut for the 15" woofer. Build the box and add the port and youre done. The motor board should make a build much faster. $50 for the pair + shipping of your choosing. Justin 323-868-9722 justinsweber@hotmail.com
