  1. Blast from the past I know, but there is a local guy here in AZ who advertises to fix most brands of speaker amplifiers. http://edwardselectronics.net/1901.html Saw him by chance with a listing on ebay. No personal experience with them though. I tried messaging him to offer my unused KSP400 amps to him but never heard back. Either way, if anyone else has a use for a pair of KSP400 amps let me know. I'd be happy to mail them out for the cost of shipping. Sorry I didn't read back through the posting, but are your amps in good working order?
  2. Over a year later and I have still done nothing with this amp. Any thoughts on where to look for the replacment caps? I have not found any old KSP, KSW15 or KSW300 amps around.
  3. Any luck finding parts?
  4. Where did you buy the caps at? I assume Digikey would be a good start. How have things been working for over a year now?. I just had my left channel go bad with a very loud hum, right side seems to be OK, just the normal very quite buzz like always. Dave
  5. I think M&K has always made great subs, $225 for a good used one seems fine to me. I have used MTX, JBL, M&K, Def Tech, Klipsch and SVS. The M&K always put out good clean tight bass.
  6. damonrpayne, If you head over to the AVS forum go to the HT meets section and you will find a Green Bay/Appleton section. We have about half the people running CRT's. I have seen both and if you want picture quality in a HT room CRT is the way to go, but do remember you either need to have some skills in setting it up or pay to have someone do it for you. If your a person that wants a big screen in an open room and audio is your thing go the digital route. Also head over to www.curtpalme.com and look at this http://www.curtpalme.com/ReferralList.htm at the bottom you will see one of the AVS members who is just about done with his HT room. Here are a few other good crt links. http://www.etechvideo.com/home.htm http://www.crtcinema.com/ Hope this helps.
  7. T2K, That was one hell of a deal! I thought my local purchase for a 6 month old set of 400's for $750 was a steal a few years back. After you found the new C6 for me I have bought a few pairs of S6's since then and now have the a 6.1 system with a pair of S6's and one C6 for a rear center. I do have another C6 to make a 7.1 setup when i have the room in a new house. How do you have the 400's setup for inputs? Dave
  8. Two things to remember, the Denon will only do the upconversion with the DVI output NOT component. Second, Blu-Ray or HD-DVD might be a few years before it hits the stores and they will have a high price tag just like the first generation DVD players.
  9. I agree with cmdridq's points. I have made my first bid and later wanted to change my max amount and have never seen the price increase. I too wait till the last second if i really want an item for cheap. Dave
  10. I looked at the web page and it has the 2803 for $699, but the 3803 is still listed at $899. I don't have the catalog but you should give them a call then. Dave
  11. head over to listenup.com, if they have any in stock i know you can get a good deal. I bought a 3803 and 2803 from them a few months back. I think Phil was the guy i talked to and your price should be dead on if you can talk the talk. Dave
