Can anyone tell me with certainty whether Time Warner's digital cable provides only Dolby Surround for its movies, or if they send Dolby Digital 5.1 for movies encoded with it???

I have a pair of kg4 from 1986 that sound and work great. I want to use them in new Home Theater setup with Quintet front and surrounds. Any suggestions? Are Qunitets OK for this application? Should I consider others for surround/front? Thanks
